There are a number of core characters fans will want to see before Pretty Little Liars ends, and Melissa Hastings is one of the big ones. Not only has she been around since the show’s pilot, but let’s face it: She’s been a part of a lot of the schemes happening around Rosewood.

The good news is that EW has confirmed that Torrey DeVitto will reprise her role when Pretty Little Liars returns for the back half of season 7. As fans will recall, Melissa was last seen leaving town in season 6. And considering her ex, Wren Kingston, is also making a return in season 7, maybe we’ll finally get some answers. For example, did Melissa know that Spencer is Mary Drake’s child?!

So soon after we learned Torrey DeVitto would return for the final season of Pretty Little Liars, the actress has announced she’s already filmed her final scene as Melissa Hastings. DeVitto, who first played the role of Spencer’s questionable older sister in the pilot, shared on social media that she wrapped her final scene early Thursday morning.

DeVitto writes, “And now, it’s time to say my final goodbye … In the wee hours of this morning I did my final scenes as Melissa Hastings. I don’t think it’s quite hit me that this show that so quickly became like a home base for me, or that this character whom I have learned so much from and grew SO much with is now over. So much has happened over these last 7 years, but through all these changes, ‘pretty little liars’ stood as a constant space to go back to. Thank you to everyone involved and thank you to all who love and watch this show. It’s been such an honor to play this character and work with such an amazing cast and crew.”
