Plot
HEMEL EN HEL BAL – Net als Damon denkt de bovenhand te hebben over zijn moeder Lily, komt er een onverwachte wending waardoor hij op zoek moet naar plan B. Elders zorgen Damon’s acties ervoor dat de aandacht van Mary Louise en Nora getrokken wordt, hierdoor zijn Stefan en Caroline gedwongen om hen de gehele avond af te leiden tijdens Whitmore College’s Heaven & Hell ball. Nadat Enzo’s vermoed dat Valerie ander motieven heeft maat hij het zijn missie erachter te komen wat ze verborgen houd, terwijl een plan door Alaric en Bonnie ervoor zorgt dan hun wereld op de kop staat.

Stefan (to Caroline): “I have come up with the genius plan to keep them occupied while Damon sorts out his Oscar problem.”

Caroline: “Just some silly Heaven and Hell Ball.”
Nora: “We’re going!”

Damon (to Bonnie and Alaric): “We gotta bring this guy back to life. Now.”
