Plot
Nadat Bonnie, Caroline en Stefan erachter komen dat iemand uit Stefan’s verleden het volgende doel is van Damon en Enzo vertrekken ze naar North Carolina. Daar neemt Bonnie drastische maatregelen in een poging Enzo te bevrijden van het geen wat grip over hem heeft. In de Armory stuiten Alaric en Georgie op een mysterieus symbool dat mogelijk te maken heeft met de bovennatuurlijk kracht die Damon en Enzo aanstuurt. En als laatste krijgt Caroline een onverwachte verassing van Stefan.
