HET BEGIN VAN HET EINDE — Wanhopig om haar vader Klaus na 7 jaar weer te zien, neemt Hope drastische maatregelen om hem terug te lokken naar New Orleans. Hayley probeert Hope’s actie te verdoezelen voordat de stad door heft wat ze gedaan heeft. Intussen heeft Freya last van schuldgevoelens over het feit dat haar familie niet kan herrenigen en het staat haar geluk met Keelin in de weg. Rebekah heeft moeite om zich volledig te bieden aan Marcel. Zonder zijn broer ELijah aan zijn zide heeft Klaus het moeilijk, na moordpartijen door heel Europa heeft hij een onverwachte ontmoeting met Caroline.
