Plot
Elena, Damon en Alaric gaan naar Duke University om Isobel’s onderzoeken naar paranomale door te lezen in de hoop dat er iets instaat over het mysterie rondom de familie Lockwood. Een voormalige studente van Isobel, Vanessa bied haar hulp aan en leert er uiteindelijk ook iets van. Intussen komt Stefan oog in oog te staan met een nieuw gevaar, midden in het bos. En doet Tyler een schokkende ondekking over zijn oom Mason.
