Nina is gecast en zal ook een executive producer voor de nieuwe erotische thriler drama ‘Night Float’, de film is gebaseerd op een eerder uitgekomen theatervoorstelling.
Nina Dobrev is set to star and executive produce Night Float, an erotic thriller drama that is being developed by playwright and screenwriter Lila Raicek, Made Up Stories and Fifth Season.
Adapted by Raicek from her play Vertebrae, Night Float is described as a propulsive exploration of desire and power, obsession and betrayal set against the dark underworld of New York City. When an alluring young woman (Dobrev) moves into hospital housing to live with her resident boyfriend, she becomes entangled with an older doctor who entices her to act as a runner in an illicit insider-trading ring.
Raicek also has series 9 Parties in the works for Fifth Season and Made Up Stories and previously adapted Liane Moriarty’s Three Wishes for Netflix and The Couple Next Door for Paramount TV. Her TV series credits include Younger and Gossip Girl. Raicek’s play My Master Builder, starring Ewan McGregor and Elizabeth Debicki, ended its sold-out run on London’s West End in July. Her upcoming play Fire Season is currently in pre-production. Raicek’s debut novel The Plunge will be published by Park Row (HarperCollins) in Spring 2026. She is repped by CAA and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
Known for her starring role as Elena Gilbert on the long-running CW series The Vampire Diaries, Dobrev recently wrapped production on action thriller Bear Country, opposite Russell Crowe, and signed on to star in rom-com It Happened One Summer alongside Tyler Hoechlin and Virginia Gardner. Her recent film credits include Reunion, The Out-Laws, Love Hard, Redeeming Love, Sick Girl and The Bricklayer.
