Charles Michael Davis, Claire Holt, Nate Buzolic en Riley Voelkel zullen op 14 april te zien zijn als gastrol in een aflevering van ‘Legacies’.
More familiar faces are returning to Mystic Falls this spring.
Legacies‘ April 14 episode (The CW, 9/8c) will welcome Originals stars Nathaniel Buzolic (aka Kol Mikaelson) and Charles Michael Davis (aka Marcel Gerard) for the first time. They’ll be joined by Claire Holt (Rebekah Mikaelson) and Riley Voelkel (Freya Mikaelson), both of whom have guest-starred previously.
“The Mikaelson family is welcome to visit anytime, always and forever,” showrunner Brett Matthews recently told TVLine. “It is a joy to revisit these characters and the talent who plays them. COVID makes this hard, scheduling makes this hard, and they’re all so gifted — they’re very busy. But if they can’t travel in from New Orleans, we may just have to go to them.”
So, what brings this foursome to Legacies? Here’s the official logline for the episode, titled “Everything That Can Be Lost May Also Be Found,” which may hold the answer: “Hope continues to be swirled in confusion and fighting her humanity, which results in her seeing the people who mean the most to her: Rebekah, Marcel, Kol and Freya.” Well, there you go!
Elsewhere in the hour, “Kaleb wants to introduce Cleo to his world, including those who had the most profound influence on his path. Meanwhile, Lizzie devises a plan to get in someone’s good graces.”
Additional actors from The Vampire Diaries and The Originals who have returned for Legacies include Zach Roerig (Matt), Jodi-Lyn O’Keefe (Jo), Chris Wood (Kai) and Rebecca Breeds (Aurora). Candice King (Caroline) also recorded new audio for an episode. You can see a full breakdown of actors who have crossed between shows in this list. Read More
Charles is gecast in de reboot van de serie ‘Early Edition’ voor CBS.
NCIS: New Orleans alum Charles Michael Davis, Jay Ali (Magnum P.I.) and Fiona Rene (I Know What You Did Last Summer) have been cast as series regulars opposite Alice Eve in CBS’ drama pilot Early Edition, a gender-swapped reboot of the late-1990s series headlined by Kyle Chandler.
Written by Melissa Glenn, the new Early Edition follows Beth (Eve), an ambitious but uncompromising journalist working as executive producer at a Seattle TV news station, who starts receiving tomorrow’s newspaper today and finds herself in the complicated business of changing the news instead of reporting it.
Ali will play Anthony, Beth’s news director and good friend. Anthony strives to find balance, a nearly impossible task amidst the chaos of a newsroom, but he knows his version of an ideal life would be something that includes Beth. He cares very deeply for her, so much so that he hires his Army contact – Derick – to protect Beth during this tumultuous time.
Derick, played by Davis, is a former cop who served in Afghanistan without incident, but on his return home he was injured on the job and forced to retire. He’s a man of action but has been forced to the sidelines. He now joins Beth as a temporary “bodyguard” while she navigates the aftermath of previous events, and with that, he is unknowingly thrown into the mystery of the newspaper.
Rene plays Trina, a close friend of Beth’s and one of the reporters at her local news station. She survived a troubled childhood, but she came out stronger, full of heart and charm. Trina brings her quirky beliefs to the newspaper trio, balancing out the skepticism of Derick and the hard and fast pace of Beth.
Glenn executive produces the reboot with DeVon Franklin via Franklin Entertainment and Bob Brush, who developed the original. Franklin Entertainment’s Jenna Nicholson is co-exec producer of the project, which comes from Sony Pictures Television and Affirm Television, Sony TV and Affirm Films’ co-venture for family, faith, inspirational and aspirational content, in association with CBS Studios.
This marks Davis’ return to CBS after a series-regular stint on the last two seasons of NCIS: New Orleans. Prior to that, he was a series regular on the CW’s The Originals and TV Land’s Younger. He is repped by Gersh and Mary Erickson Management.
Ali most recently had a major recurring role on CBS’ Magnum P.I. His series credits also include Prime Video’s Carnival Row and Marvel’s Daredevil. He’s repped by Cultivate Entertainment and attorney Meyer & Downs.
Rene most recently starred in the Prime Video series I Know What You Did Last Summer and will next appear on Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer. Her additional credits include SWAT, NCIS: Hawai’i and Stumptown. She is repped by Encompass and LG Management.
Charles zal beperkt tot minimaal te zien zijn in het zevende seizoen van ‘Younger’ door andere verplichtingen en de corona-maatregelen wat het voor hem niet mogelijk om als vast castlid terug te keren in het laatste seizoen van de serie.
When Younger arrives on Paramount+ for its final season next month, two key characters will be spending less time in Liza’s orbit.
The first four episodes of Season 7 will hit the streaming service on Thursday, April 15, with the remaining episodes scheduled to drop weekly on Thursdays, Paramount+ announced today. (Update: These episodes will also be available on Hulu, following the same schedule.) The entire seventh season will also air on TV Land later this year.
But TVLine has learned exclusively that previous regulars Miriam Shor (Diana Trout) and Charles Michael Davis (Zane Anders) will only appear in a recurring capacity.
“Due to scheduling and Covid related matters, Miriam Shor and Charles Michael Davis were unable to be season seven cast regulars,” series creator Darren Star tells TVLine in a statement. “However, they will always be a much loved and integral part of the Younger family and have added so much heart and soul to the series.”
Shor has been a regular since Younger premiered on TV Land in 2015, while Davis was promoted in 2018 after recurring in Season 4. The show’s sixth season finale witnessed Diana’s wedding to Enzo, a romantic event that also brought Zane closer to Kelsey.
“In the final season, Liza’s personal life is on shaky ground as she tries to stay true to herself,” according to the official logline. “After a setback at work, Kelsey doubts her career decisions and discovers a new creative outlet. Maggie gets cancelled.”

The Originals alum Charles Michael Davis has returned to the Big Easy, with a series regular role on CBS’ NCIS: New Orleans.
Beginning with the Sunday-bound procedural’s March 8 episode, Davis will play Quentin Carter, a “charming, confidant, even justifiably cocky” Special Agent who transfers to the NOLA office at Pride’s request.
As such, he will help fill the void left by Special Agent Christopher “Country Mouse” Lasalle, who was shockingly killed off six episodes into Season 6.
“We knew we needed someone exciting who could challenge the team — and Pride (played by Scott Bakula),” NCIS: New Orleans executive producer Christopher Silber told TV Insider, which broke the casting news. “Quentin has this history of moving from post to post, doing great things, but then pissing someone off and getting moved again.”
In addition to his run as The Originals‘ Marcel, CMD’s many TV credits include Chicago P.D., For the People, Grey’s Anatomy, The Game and Younger, where he still plays Zane Anders.
Off the air since mid-December, NCIS: Orleans will resume Season 6 on Feb. 16 — in a brand-new, Sundays-at-10/9 time slot — with an episode in which the team grows concerned when Sebastian becomes unreachable while undercover as a new recruit.
