Nina’s nieuwe serie ‘Fam’ krijgt geen gevolg, zender CBS heeft besloten de serie te cancelen na één seizoen. Waarschijnlijk hadden tegenvallende kijkcijfers te maken met het besluit. Verschillende media hopen nu de serie gecanceld is Nina mogelijk te zien zal zijn in het tweede seizoen van ‘Legacies’, ikzelf acht deze kans erg klein.

Charles laatste serie ‘For the People’ is door de Amerkaanse zender ABC gecanceld. In het tweede en dus tevens laatste seizoen had hij een rol.

De trailer van Danielle’s nieuwste film ‘Being Frank’ is verschenen, deze verschijnt op 14 juni.

Candice en Kayla zijn opnieuw het gezicht van de nieuwe promotiecampagne van ‘Show Me Your Mumu’, het kledingmerk van hun beste vriendin. De fotoshoot was gisteren en enkele outtakes zijn al verschenen.

‘Vampire Diaries’ Star Michael Trevino Takes on His Latest Role in the Stage Adaptation of ‘Crime and Punishment’
Michael Trevino stars in the stag adaptation of ‘Crime and Punishment’ at Edgmar Centr for the Arts in Santa Monica.

Michael Trevino rose to fame playing Tyler Lockwood on The Vampire Diaries and more recently completed Season 1 of Roswell, New Mexico, a reboot of the original sci-fi series on the CW. Now he is taking his craft in a new direction by starring as the tortured, hyperintellectual and guilt-ridden Russian criminal, Raskolnikov, in an efficient yet rigorous multimedia stage adaptation of Crime and Punishment at Edgemar Center for the Arts in Santa Monica.

The actor, California native and workout enthusiast chatted with us about what he’s learned throughout the inspiring “dramatic theater bootcamp” process and where he likes to spend his free time in Los Angeles.

How did you land this role and what made you go for it in the first place?
MICHAEL TREVINO: After a decade of working in TV, I wanted a different type of challenge. In 2018, I spoke with my reps about doing theater while on hiatus from Roswell, New Mexico. I didn’t have any formal theater training, so I said I’d be willing to fly myself to New York and do whatever I could, even something off off off Broadway. Then this opportunity came about.

Nina Dobrez wasn’t born into a Hollywood family. Nian subject started from humble beginnings. The Bulgarian native immigrated to Canada with her family as a child. Her natural love for performing sparked her love for the craft as a child and she has continuously worked hard to get to where she is today. Nina Dobrev marches to the beat of her own drum and the world around her dances to the beat, she is that person. Her contagious energy has made her the success she is today and we had the pleasure of chatting with her about The Vampire Diaries and her new show Fam.

Imagista: Where are you from originally?
Nina Dobrev: I was born in Bulgaria; my parents immigrated with us to Toronto when we were little so I lived there until I moved to the US for acting.

Imagista: How did you get into acting?
Nina Dobrev: I am not the typical actor type in the sense that my journey didn’t begin with me always dreaming of being an actor. As a kid, especially being the child of immigrants, we didn’t have very much and it was a daily struggle to make ends meet. When I told my parents I wanted to be an actor, they supported it but I don’t think they fully believed it was something that could really turn into a career. From a very young age I loved performing, in whatever form that was. My parents and brother would probably describe me as an annoying kid but they saw I loved putting on shows. My parents began signing me up for community theater classes and summer camps to keep me busy and that is where it all kind of began for me.

It wasn’t until I went to a performing arts high school in Toronto that I began truly developing all these tools to use while performing. Following that, I got an agent and it all kind of took off from there.
