The CW heeft de TV Serie ‘Prohibited’ dat Ian samen met zijn vrouw Nikki met hun productie bedrijf heeft ontwikkeld gekocht. Het wordt nu verder ontwikkeld, het is nog niet duidelijk of de serie daadwerkelijk zal worden uitgezonden en zo ja vanaf wanneer.

The CW has put in development Prohibited, an hourlong soapy drama from Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed’s Rare Birds Productions and Warner Bros. TV.

Written by Jesse Lasky (Revenge), Prohibited is described as an upstairs/downstairs Southern soap where high-spirited former thief Amelia Jones attempts a fresh start in male-dominated Bourbon Country. Her new life, however, is upended when her two sisters show up demanding Amelia’s help in orchestrating the most dangerous heist of their lives: robbing the Money Room of the Kentucky Derby. Amelia now finds herself torn between the thrill of her dangerous past and her newfound ambition of becoming a Bourbon Queen.

New parents Somerhalder and Reed executive produce via their Rare Birds as part of the company’s pod deal with Warner Bros.. Lasky is co-executive producer, while Rare Birds’ Tracy Ryerson produces.

Lasky was a writer-associate producer on the last three seasons of ABC’s Revenge and most recently has been a writer on CBS’ Code Black.

Reed is repped by Paradigm, Thruline Entertainment and Morris Yorn. Former The Vampire Diaries star Somerhalder is repped by ICM Partners, Untitled Entertainment and Morris Yorn. Lasky is repped at Paradigm and Echo Lake.

Madelaine Petsch has proved on Riverdale that she can play a great mean girl — even if doing so may not match her personality, and Cheryl Blossom has since proved that there’s a lot going on underneath the glossy red hair that belies her tough-girl exterior. But now she’s taking her mean-girl repertoire out of Riverdale High and straight to F the Prom, a new movie co-starring Danielle Campbell.
The film follows Danielle’s Maddy, who has climbed her way up the ranks to popularity over the course of four high school years. (Popularity, we should remind you, is a construct.) But all of that comes screeching to a halt when she comes across Madelaine’s character Marissa making out with Maddy’s boyfriend and kicking her out of the in-crowd. Determined to get revenge, Maddy gets back in touch with her former best friend and fellow outcast Cole (Super 8’s Joel Courtney), and they start plotting and scheming to sabotage their school prom.
The trailer promises lots of drama and some hilarious one-liners, including Madelaine saying, “Go with a football player. It’s more iconic, like a Taylor Swift song.” Dare we say she’s giving off Regina George vibes?

Many fans of The Originals know this, but Charles Michael Davis is an insanely amazing piano player.

Over the weekend, showrunner Julie Plec revealed to a fan who asked that his character, Marcel, just hasn’t had a good piano moment on the show in a while for good reason.

“Funny thing about Charles, he started taking lessons in Season 1 and I thought he was terrible!” she admitted. “So it never occurred to me to write in any piano scenes.”

But we think he changed her mind during their last Comic-Con: “He sat down in the hotel lobby and played and he was great. The lessons took!”

Writer Carina Adly MacKenzie also admits that she loves to hear Charles play too and has the perfect idea on how they can write it in.

“When I have downtime on set I always go sit in Charles’ dressing room. He plays piano, I sit on the couch, we don’t talk. I leave with all of my anxiety cured,” she tweeted. “He’s a magician. Marcel can play — Elijah taught him — we’ve just never seen it.”

Here’s hoping we see Charles play on the final season!

De release van de DVD boxen van zowel ‘The Vampire Diaries’ – seizoen 8 als ‘The Originals’ – Seizoen 4 is uitgesteld :(

De DVD box van het allerlaaste seizoen van ‘The Vampire Diaries’ zal nu uitkomen op 22 november 2017 en de DVD box van het vierde seizoen van ‘The Originals’ pas op 9 januari 2018.

fter the slew of allegations against Harvey Weinstein from stars such as Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow and Cara Delevingne (as well as over 30 others), women worldwide have been sharing stories of harassment and abuse using the social media hashtag #MeToo.

Overnight, Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Lawrence told their daunting stories, and now Australian star Phoebe Tonkin has opened up about her own experiences.

Taking to Twitter, Phoebe wrote: “Left phoneless and walletless in the dark on the side of a road, picked up by 2 guys, had to fend off the same thing again by them #metoo,” before going on to slam victim shamers, saying, “I was a teenager and that type of story was accepted by the girls as normal, and used as a way to ruin my reputation and spread as gossip by the boys. That there is the problem.”

She also calls out societies expectations of women and the objectification of girls day-to-day.

“Also, I think about this at least zero times day. Very rarely over the last 10 years,” she adds.

“But what I do think about daily is the day to day objectification of women’s bodies, of the accusations towards women in regards to their mental health. Who has ever been accused of being too fat, of being pregnant, of trying to steal someone’s boyfriend, of being anorexic, of being a drug addict. All accusations to rob women of their identities and their self worth. Being ashamed of being ourselves and of who we are and what we do, what we’ve done.”

Kat is gecast in de nieuwe Nickelodeon animatie serie ‘Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’, hierin zal ze de stem vertolken van de Afro-Amerikaanse April. De eerste reeks zal bestaan uit 26 aflevering en is volgend jaar te zien op de zender.

A handful of famous folks will head down into the sewers and munch on some pizza: Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has found its heroic reptile brothers.

The Nickelodeon animated series about a quartet of crime-fighting brothers with about-to-be-explored ninja powers has tapped Omar Miller (Ballers) as the oldest sibling/ringleader Raphael, Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation) as the charming Leonardo, Josh Brener (Silicon Valley) as tech whiz Donatello, Brandon Mychal Smith (You’re The Worst) as the skateboarding artist Michelangelo, and Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) as their human friend April O’Neil. Graham will voice the first African-American April.

Eric Bauza (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) also joins the cast as Splinter, both father figure and sensei to the Turtles.

The series, which will debut next year with 26 episodes, chronicles the exploits of the turtle brothers as “they encounter new allies and villains and discover a mystical world they never knew existed beneath the streets of New York City.”

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise began as a comic book series in the ’80s before expanding to film, TV, and video games. In 2012, Nickelodeon debuted a computer-animated series, simply titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, that ran for five seasons, and in 2014, Transformers’ Michael Bay brought the franchise to the big screen with a film starring Will Arnett and Megan Fox. The two actors then reprised their roles in the 2016 sequel, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.

Paul zal samen met I. Marlene King een nieuwe freemform serie ‘Tapped’ produceren. Een serie over een drie studenten die een dating-app genaamd Tapped ontwikkelen waarbij mee ze miljonairs worden maar hierbij ook de gevaren die hierbij horen de baas moeten zijn. De serie is gebaseerd op een boek, het is nog niet bekend wanneer de serie zal verschijnen.

Former The Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley has teamed with Pretty Little Liars developer/showrunner I. Marlene King for Tapped, a drama series project, which has been set up at Freeform.

Written by Thomas Brandon based on the novel in progress by Andrew Shaffer (How To Survive A Sharknado), Tapped is described as The Social Network meets Pretty Little Liars. It centers around three grad students who create a hookup app called Tapped that goes viral and turns the students into overnight millionaires, but also unleashes unwitting dangers into the world that the creators must try to understand and control.

King executive produces through her Long Lake Media alongside Wesley and Bob Levy via Citizen Media. Brandon is co-executive producer. Warner Horizon Scripted Television, where both King and Wesley are under overall deals, is the studio.
