There’s not really much Joseph Morgan can actually tell anyone about the final season of The Originals.

The British-born actor spoke with US Weekly over the weekend and spilled what he could.

“Right now it’s utter turmoil and betrayal and bloodshed and the good stuff it normally is,” he shared. “We’ll see, I don’t know, I’ve only read up until episode 7. So I’ve got six more to read, so I don’t know how it’s going to end.”

However, there’s one thing that he does hope happens at the end of the show — that the fans are satisfied.

And one more thing:

Joseph shared, “I hope that we’re going to get the end that is satisfying and that all characters will be at some sort of peace.”

The Originals will return next year on The CW.

The Jinx subject Robert Durst is once again getting the small-screen treatment in The Lost Wife of Robert Durst.

EW has the exclusive first trailer for the Lifetime original movie, which stars Daniel Gillies (The Originals) as the titular New York real estate scion and Katharine McPhee (Scorpion) as his first wife, Kathie, who went missing in 1982.

Based on journalist Matt Birkbeck’s book A Deadly Secret: The Bizarre and Chilling Story of Robert Durst, the film examines the dark and disturbing turn in the couple’s marriage and the aftermath of her still unsolved disappearance.

The Lost Wife of Robert Durst premieres Nov. 4 on Lifetime. Watch the trailer above.

“The Originals” actors are taking advantage of every opportunity they can in The CW drama’s final season. At least three cast members will take on directorial duties in Season 5.

While Joseph Morgan’s (Klaus) next turn in the director’s chair was announced at San Diego Comic-Con, “Originals” producer Carina MacKenzie confirmed that he isn’t the only one stepping behind the camera. Daniel Gillies (Elijah) and Charles Michael Davis (Marcel) will direct again as well. Morgan is handing episode 3, David is on episode 6 and Gillies is helming episode 10.

This isn’t the first time directing for any of them. Davis made his directorial debut last season. Morgan and Gillies had a couple directing gigs before, but they first helmed an episode of “The Originals” in Seasons 3 and 4, respectively.

When discussing his first episode as director, Gillies said that it was a little easier to jump behind the camera since he knew the show so well.

“Also, because Charles Michael Davis, Joseph Morgan and myself are so intimate with this mythology, it’s directing with training wheels, in a sense, because you don’t have to go and subject yourself to the baptism by fire of another environment, another whole show, and another mythology. So, we’re very blessed, in that sense,” the actor told Collider in June.

Not much is known about the episodes they’ll be directing, but we have a little bit of info on “The Originals” Season 5. It seems the Mikaelsons have kept their word to stay apart for Hope’s sake for nearly 10 years. Hope is a teenager now (Danielle Rose Russell will replace Summer Fontana), and her mother Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) won’t be pining for Elijah.

Hayley is moving on, and a sexy Irish chef will be her new love interest. “Reign” alum Torannce Coombs will play Declan, who doesn’t have any idea that supernatural creatures exist. Considering his relationship with Hayley is heating up, he likely won’t be in the dark for long.

That doesn’t mean all hope is lost for Hayley and Elijah’s relationship. After all, what’s 10 years when you’re an immortal being? Executive producer Julie Plec told the audience at San Diego Comic-Con that there might still be hope for these two.

“I love Hayley and Elijah and I do hope they can find peace in eternity,” Plec said. “I don’t know how quickly that will be able to happen, but it’s not something that I take lightly.”

As usual, forces of evil will make romances difficult on “The Originals.” Several new vampires will come to town in Season 5, but Margot is the one who sounds most likely to cause trouble. As previously reported, she is a “calculating” vampire who has roots in 1920s Europe. She is super dedicated to her family, so let’s hope the Mikaelsons don’t end up feuding with another vicious vampire clan.

Ben-Hur star Toby Kebbell has signed on to join Claire Holt in the psychological thriller Becoming.

Penned and to be directed by Omar Naim (The Final Cut), the film centers on a young woman who learns her fiancé has become possessed by an entity which takes over bodies, kills families and then moves on to new bodies. But now he wants to start his own family, which leaves her faced with an impossible choice about the one she loves.

The pic, which will start production in October in Kentucky, is being produced by Michael Philip, Gaby Whyte Hart and Kebbell. Jason Moring, Stanley Preschutti and Mark Padilla of Double Dutch International (DDI) and Cory Chen of M-Star International will executive produce.

DDI is introducing the film to international buyers at the Toronto International Film Festival.

“Becoming is such a strong script and we’re excited to team up again with Michael Philip. Toby and Claire are sure to lure audiences in,” said Moring.

Added Philip: “Toby Kebbell and Claire Holt are an amazing tandem for Becoming and set the tone as we move forward into production.”

Kebbell was most recently seen in Kong: Skull Island, A Monster Calls and War for the Planet of the Apes. He is repped by CAA and the Independent Talent Group.

Holt starred opposite Mandy Moore in the shark thriller 47 Meters Down and she also stars on the CW series The Originals. She is repped by WME Entertainment and Management 360.

But Claire Holt has revealed the extent of rejection she had to suffer before finally finding some success in Hollywood. The 29-year-old said on Saturday she was knocked back for a staggering 142 roles before she made her first break.

‘I did 142 auditions before I booked my first job. It was a relentless stream of ‘no’,’ she told Cassandra Kerr’s blog For She Is You, The Courier Mail reported. The Brisbane-born actress said it was hard to continue chasing her dreams amid the constant rejection, but is ‘grateful’ that she persisted.

‘It was very hard to stay focused and to believe in myself. I wanted to quit many times,’ Claire said.
Now work continues to roll in for Claire, who has landed roles on TV series Aquarius, The Originals and new film 47 Metres Down, the newspaper reported.

But the actress said sometimes she feels undeserving of the Hollywood success she has achieved.
‘At times I find it hard to feel deserving of success or the life that I am lucky enough to lead. I think a lot of people experience those feelings,’ she said.

Claire also revealed to the blog that she suffers from anxiety, The Courier Mail reported.
She said she often goes to a ‘dark place’ when confronted with certain issues.
The Vampire Diaries star said she finds the best way to handle the emotions is to talk to someone – whether it be a therapist, her partner, sister or friends.

Er onstond enkele dagen geleden ophef over de zwangerschap van Ian en Nikki. Dit kwam nadat Ian in een interview liet weten dat Ian had besloten al haar anticonceptiepillen weg te gooien omdat hij het tijd vond dat ze aan kinderen begonnen. Dit werd uit verband getrokken en de media reageerde verontwaardigd omdat Nikki om deze manier geen keuze zou hebben en gedwongen zou zijn om kinderen te krijgen.

Het stel laat in een mededeling dat de keuze om aan kinderen te beginnen een beslissing van hen beide was, en ze het niet vinden kunnen dat de media conclusies trekt naar aanleiding van het interview die een schaduw werpen over hun zwangerschap.

Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder have apologized after a twisted birth control story drew major backlash.

The acting couple initially pinned the blame on media outlets for taking Somerhalder’s story of how he threw away his wife’s birth control to get her pregnant out of proportion.

But the new parents changed their tune Saturday, and issued a joint statement saying they were “deeply sorry” to anyone affected by reproductive coercion.

Reproductive coercion, according to the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, is behavior in which one member of a relationship attempts to impregnate a partner against her will, coerce a partner into unprotected sex, or mess with their contraception.

Many saw Somerhalder tossing Reed’s birth control a prime example of this — but in their statement, the couple maintained that the story was simply a happy memory that got a dark spin.

“We never expected a lighthearted interview we did poking fun at EACH OTHER and how WE chose together to get pregnant, a goofy moment in Barcelona with our two best friends and the anticipation of the start of our journey together as we went from two to three, to turn into something representing a very serious matter,” the statement read.

The couple also took the opportunity to lash out at the media again, and shamed outlets who “chose this as their way into a very serious discussion” about reproductive coercion, as they are “not qualified to be the faces of this topic.”

The apology comes after Reed initially defended her husband in a series of tweets calling out an unnamed “irresponsible journalist” for “speaking on my behalf in a story admittedly taken out of context for the purpose of stirring up drama WITHOUT my approval,” as well as the media in general for turning Somerhalder’s story into gossip.

The “Vampire Diaries” actor’s initial comments came during an interview with Dr. Berlin’s Informed Pregnancy Podcast. On the show, he said that after he and Reed decided together that they were ready to start a family, he took matters into his own hands by tossing her birth control.

“We decided that we wanted to have children together, and it was just time. But unbeknownst to poor Nikki, she didn’t realize that I was going to go in her purse and take out her birth control,” he said. “By the way, it was the beginning of the pack, so I had to pop all those suckers out. It is a lot of work.”

Reed, 29, and Somerhalder, 38, welcomed their first child, daughter Bodhi Soleil Reed Somerhalder, in July.
