The Napa Valley Film Festival (NVFF) is pleased to announce its collaboration with Napa based non-profit, Jameson Animal Rescue Ranch (JARR), a new partner of the upcoming 7th annual event, taking place November 8-12.

JARR is giving the Jameson Animal Rescue Ranch Humanitarian Award to Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed at the Celebrity Tributes on Thursday, November 9, at the Lincoln Theater in Yountville.

The Jameson Animal Rescue Ranch Humanitarian Award celebrates those individuals who have shown outstanding compassion, advocacy and dedication to animal protection issues. The recipients, actors Ian Somerhalder (Vampire Diaries, Lost) and Nikki Reed (The Twilight Saga, Twilight, Thirteen), exemplify JARR’s mission to show compassion to all animals in need and by using their unique platform to bring a spotlight to animal welfare issues help further the work to end animal cruelty in all it’s forms.

“I am delighted to dedicate the 2017 JARR Humanitarian Award to Ian and Nikki for their outstanding animal advocacy work,” said Monica Stevens, Co-founder Jameson Animal Rescue Ranch, “They not only bring inspiration to their fans by promoting a cruelty free lifestyle but have shown incredible dedication and compassion in their work to educate people and youth to make a positive change for the planet and the animals.”

Access Hollywood’s Natalie Morales will host the Celebrity Tributes, and will conduct intimate on-stage conversations with the honorees. Joining Nikki and Ian will be iconic film director Nancy Meyers (The Intern,The Holiday; It’s Complicated), who will receive the Charles Krug Legendary Director Award; Raymond Vineyards Trailblazer recipient Michael Shannon (The Current War, The Shape of Water, Nocturnal Animals, Elvis and Nixon); and Michael Stuhlbarg (Call Me By Your Name, The Shape of Water, The Current War). Caldwell Vineyards Maverick Tribute honoree Will Ferrell will be honored the next day on Friday, November 10 before a special retrospective screening of Stranger Than Fiction. The new Rising Star Showcase at Materra | Cunat Vineyards on Saturday, November 11 will honor a handful of young talent including Ana de Armas (War Dogs; Blade Runner 2049), Odeya Rush (Coup d’Etat, Goosebumps, The Giver); Alex Wolff (My Friend Dahmer; Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) and Gregg Sulkin (Runaways, Faking It).

Other notable celebrities expected to attend the festival include David Arquette, Zoey Deutch, Thomas Middleditch, Haley Joel Osmet, Jim Rash, Elijah Wood, Eric Stoltz, Lea Thompson, and many more.

Nina was van de week op de ‘Flatliners’ Press Conference in NYC, de film verschijnt deze week in de Amerikaanse bioscopen. In nederland moeten we nog even wachten hier is de film pas 9 november te zien.

Still going strong. Nathalie Kelley gushed to Us Weekly about her hunky boyfriend, Zach Roerig, and confirmed that they’re still very much together after meeting on set of The Vampire Diaries in 2016.

While they never seemed to share the screen during the CW show’ eight-season run, the Peruvian beauty, 32, thinks that was probably for the best. “We never really had any scenes together. It was actually good. Sometimes I think that crossover gets very intense,” she told Us at PaleyFest on September 9 in Beverly Hills, California, while promoting her new CW series, Dynasty.

Though, the Body of Proof actress said they do in fact run lines together and that he’s “always helpful and supportive” when it comes to her career.

Despite their romance being exclusive, don’t expect wedding bells anytime soon. “You know we’re just trying to be present with each other at this moment. But that’s also like a bigger question about if I even believe in that,” Kelley told Us. “I don’t think my life is supposed to follow that kind of trajectory. But that’s a whole other conversation.”

She added, “I mean like there are so many ways to love and support somebody. I think we only as a society think there is this one way. I’m exploring how many other ways I can be in his life loving and supporting him.”

One of the ways may be helping to care for the Friday Night Lights actor’s six-year-old daughter, of whom he has legal custody following a reported custody case against ex-girlfriend Alanna Turner in late 2013.

The Ohio native, 32, shared a sweet shot with both his daughter and Kelley on March 13 after the supernatural series wrapped filming in Atlanta, writing, “Since the show ended I’ve been reaching new heights 😉 onward and upward.”

The cute couple first confirmed their relationship in November 2016 when they each shared cuddly photos together on their respective Instagram accounts, complete with heart emojis.

Starting from the 12th of September, and running all the way to the 7th of November, Australia is conducting one of the most important, and most highly-contested votes in its history: a postal vote to legalise same-sex marriage.

After a frustrating back-and-forth regarding plebiscites and impassioned floor speeches, Australian’s government decided that a postal survey—a non-compulsory, mail-in vote—would decide whether or not a private member’s bill would be introduced on the topic (which would legalise same-sex marriage, if passed, which it is expected to). The ballots have been mailed out, and every registered Aussie is being asked the very same question, one at a time, “Should the law be changed to allow same-sex couples to marry?”

But despite the simplicity of the question, and the same simplicity in your choice of answers—“Yes,” or “No”—the vote isn’t so straightforward as we’d hoped it would be.

In between a vexing response from the ‘Vote No’ crowd, which has since spouted several public disavowals of the cause—skywriting ‘Vote NO’ across Sydney’s skyline recently might have been the most unabashed—and the fact that the vote itself is non-compulsory and not promising of any fines or reprimands like a state or federal election, and the end result is certainly not as promising as it could have been.

But luckily, for every ‘Vote No,’ voice there is an equal, and more hopeful, ‘Vote YES!’ Sydney’s Martin Place lit up with rainbow banners, and a heartening bulk of Australia’s biggest companies and brands have thrown their support behind marriage equality.

ELLE Australia is there alongside them. To show our support for same-sex marriage, we’ve asked some of Australia’s best and brightest to join in and encourage every voter to vote yes! For this special project, we tapped six incredible artists, including Luke Arnold, Ollie Henderson, Miranda Skoczek, Kitty Callaghan, Just Sayin’ Girl and Bassike to design their own slogan on white t-shirt. We then called upon some ELLE friends, including Phoebe Tonkin, Teresa Palmer, and Zoë Foster Blake (and more), to be photographed in the tees. These portraits are appearing in our October issue, on stands Monday.
