Smythson, the legacy brand known for being the purveyors of chic passport covers and impeccable stationary for glamorous women of a certain age, wants millennials to know there’s more to them than meets the eye. And so begins Smythson’s journey to the wild side, the brand’s new travel campaign featuring the actress and model Phoebe Tonkin, playing Alice while venturing through London’s eclectic streets like a real-life Wonderland, as she makes her way to Buckingham Palace.

A “professional Cinderella,” as she describes herself on her Instagram bio to her 4.3 million followers, Tonkin’s life definitely has the touch of a fairy tale.“I’m such a visual person, I’m really drawn to photography and art and so I really use [Instagram] as a collage,” Tonkin tells Refinery29. “I was like the queen of collaging all my books and my bedroom walls and other people’s books at school. I kind-of see it as an extension, the grown up version of collaging.”

And when the The Vampire Diaries actress isn’t sharing paintings, artfully-staged selfies and the books that she’s reading, filtered through Juno or Lark (her favorite filters), it turns out, she’s just like the rest of us, using the app to score her latest clothing purchases. “There’s a couple of cool vintage places that I like: a New Zealand brand called Paris Georgia” that stocks curated vintage pieces, and a jeweler, Baga Tibi that Tonkin was inspired to shop after she noticed a bunch of people that she follows photographing it. Sigh, popular Instagrammers, they’re just like us! “I don’t really shop in the stores so it’s definitely my way to find out new brands and labels.”
“I’m really lucky, a lot of my best friends are really fashionable,” she continued, “my best friend, Ilona Hamer, is a stylist and is probably the most fashionable person I know so I always go to her Instagram for inspiration. Her and my other friend Alex [Nataf] have a magazine called Unconditional ,[and] they always feature really cool girls on their Instagram as well so I kind of get into a little vortex of clicking on someone and finding someone else.” Her Instagram also played a role in her latest turn in front of the Smythson camera.

“Funnily enough, I was following this stylist, Valentine Fillol Cordier, on Instagram for like a year or two because I just thought she was so beautiful, French and cool! [Then] they told me that she was the one styling the campaign I was like oh it’s cosmic, it’s meant to be.”

NEARLY sixteen years after its release, one of the stars of Legally Blonde has opened up about the secret love story playing out behind the scenes.

ON SCREEN, we met Warner Huntington III as the playboy who had two beautiful women fighting over him as they all attempted to graduate law school in comedy masterpiece Legally Blonde — but there was a whole other love story going on behind the scenes.
Warner (played by Matthew Davis) was the ultimate pompous jerk: early in the piece, he dumped sorority queen Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon) in favour of a more “serious” fiancee (Selma Blair) before heading off to Harvard, inspiring his ex to follow them there and prove she’s “wife material”.

NINA DOBREV ON HER ROLE IN ‘FLATLINERS’ & HOW SHE ENDED UP HITCHHIKING AT JULIANNE HOUGH’S WEDDING

Actress, activist, and bona fide starlet Nina Dobrev leaves the past behind and ushers in a new era of films, advocacy, and adventure.

Flying back and forth from Canada to NYC to LA, shooting TV shows, feature films and magazine covers, working out (she recently signed on as an ambassador for Reebok and Les Mills), saving sharks, and squeezing in an occasional night out, the living, breathing world for Nina Dobrev is hardly as carefree and glamorous as it seems. “I have been jet-setting like a maniac the last few months. It’s hard to keep track anymore,” says the 28-year-old actress. Later this month she stars in Flatliners, a sci-fi thriller about medical students who, intrigued by what lies beyond life, experiment by stopping their hearts, triggering near-death experiences. “I had so much fun playing this character and kind of playing my first adult role in a professional sense.” It is a departure of sorts, after breaking onto the scene in cult-classic school drama Degrassi: The Next Generation, followed by the supernatural Vampire Diaries, which catapulted her to TV stardom. But today, Dobrev continually proves there’s no role (in acting or real life) that she can’t conquer.

Volgens de website eci.nl zal op 23 november de complete box-set van ‘The Vamipire Diaries’ verschijnen, een cover hiervan is niet bekend. Hoogstwaarschijnlijk zal ook op die datum seizoen 8 op DVD verschijnen.

Danielle is gecast in de serie ‘Alive in Denver’ samen met voormalig ‘ICarly’ acteur Nathan Kress.

The Originals actor Danielle Campbell and Nathan Kress, who starred on all six season of Nickelodeon’s iCarly, topline the digital scripted show Alive In Denver at Fullscreen. Described as a post non-apocalyptic comedy, the series was created and written by Michael Levin (The Grinder, Trial & Error).

It centers around a group of friends who get together the night before the apocalypse and reveal their deepest secrets to each other…only the the world doesn’t end.

Lifeboat Production produced the eight episodes, which Matthew Kazman directed.

Campbell, who was recently cast in the comedy film You Can Choose Your Family from director Miranda Bailey, is repped by Cunningham Escott Slevin & Doherty and Primary Wave Entertainment.

Kress, repped by APA and Semler Entertainment, currently voices characters on Disney XD animated series, Star Wars Rebels and the upcoming Nickelodeon series, Pinky Malinky.
