Summer Fontana is gecast in de nieuwe X-Men film als de jongeren Jean Grey.

It looks like Simon Kinberg’s X-Men: Dark Phoenix has added a new face to its cast, and The Originals star Summer Fontana has nabbed herself the lucrative role of playing a young Jean Grey.

We already know that Game of Thrones‘ Sophie Turner will reprise her part as a teenage Grey from last year’s X-Men: Apocalypse. However, with Fox casting an even younger version of the X-Men stalwart, it looks like Kinberg’s ’90s adventure will be going back in time even further. The director had already cited his interest in finding a flashback actress of Jean Grey, and it looks like 8-year-old Fontana is that lucky girl. Appearing in short film Basic Witches, the young actress is best-known as Hope Michaelson in Season 4 of The CW’s The Originals.

Jeremy Irvine, Ethan Russell, Zach Roerig and Cody Walker round out the cast of Todd Robinson’s Vietnam War pic The Last Full Measure from Foresight Unlimited. They join the ensemble led by Sebastian Stan, Christopher Plummer, William Hurt, Samuel L. Jackson, Amy Madigan, John Savage and Bradley Whitford.

Based on the true story of a present-day cover-up investigation, the pic follows young Pentagon investigator Scott Huffman as he battles the political machine in Washington. As we are brought back to what happened in one of the bloodiest battles of the Vietnam War through the eyes of the survivors, Huffman teams with the veterans of Operation Abilene to convince Congress to finally award the Medal of Honor to a courageous Air Force Pararescue Jumper Pitsenbarger, who saved many lives as his own was sacrificed.

Irvine will play Medal of Honor recipient William Pitsenbarger (Grant Gustin was originally attached to the role), while Russell, Roerig, and Walker will play young versions of Hurt, Harris, and Savage’s characters respectively.

Mark Damon, Nicholas Cafritz, Robert Reed Peterson, Timothy Scott Bogart, Shaun Sanghani, Julian Adams, Lauren Selig, Pen Densham, John Watson, Louis Steyn and T.J. Steyn are producing, Habib H. Paracha, Tamara Birkemoe, Jenna Sanz-Agero, and Sidney Sherman have signed on as Executive Producers. Foresight Unlimited is handling international sales and producing in association with Provocator and SSS Entertainment.

Irvine, repped by UTA and Independent Talent Group, will appear in Farhad Safinia’s The Professor and the Madman and James Cox’s Billionaire Boys Club. Russell, most recently seen in A Stand Up Guy with Bob Saget, is with Innovative. Also repped by Innovative, Roerig’s latest debut is Lea Thompson’s The Year of Spectacular Man, which made its world premiere at the LA Film Fest last month. Walker, the late Paul Walker’s youngest brother, has recently starred alongside Nicolas Cage in Mario Van Peebles’ USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage. He’s a client of Paradigm and Luber Roklin.

Nathaniel Buzolic looks absolutely nothing like himself! The former Originals star shared a first look at his character for Saving Zoe on his Instagram Stories.

Nate shared that he’s joined the film alongside sister duo Laura and Vanessa Marano. Chris Tavarez, who you might recognize from Avalon High and K.C. Undercover, and Giorgia Whigham have also joined the pic. Laura and Vanessa, who are producing with mom Ellen, are filming the flick in Augusta, Georgia.

Tijdens het Love Funk Music events dat ze hoste kreeg ze uit de handen van Prinses Modupe Ozolua van Kongo de titel van ‘Princess Of Inongo, Province du Mai-Ndombe, Congo, Africa’, omdat ze zich als ambassadrice voor Empower 54 al jarenlang inzet voor het land.

De cast van ‘The Originals’ is vandaag aanwezig op het jaarlijkse Comic-Con conventie in San Diego. Ik hoop hier morgen de eerste foto’s van te kunnen toevoegen. Naar de laatste berichten zullen Julie Plec, Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Phoebe Tonkin, Charles Michael Davis, Yusuf Gatewood en Riley Voelkel aanwezig zijn om het nieuwe seizoen te promoten.

Het is bekend geworden dat in het vijfde seizoen van ‘The Originals’ opnieuw een time-jump gemaakt zal worden. Actrice Danielle Rose Russell zal de 17-jarige Hope gaan spelen in het aankomende seizoen.

Hope Mikaelson is, indeed, about to hit a major growth spurt.

As TVLine recently reported, The Originals‘ fifth season will begin with a time jump, one that will introduce viewers to a much older version of Klaus and Hayley’s daughter. And now, thanks to EW.com, we know that she’ll be played by 17-year-old series regular Danielle Rose Russell (The Last Tycoon).

Initially introduced to viewers as a baby in the show’s first season, Hope was eventually aged up (via another time jump!) and played to perfection by Summer Fontana in Season 4.

The CW drama’s fourth season ended with the Mikaelsons being forcibly scattered to the winds, and Hope being enrolled at Alaric and Caroline’s Mystic Falls-based school for supernatural tinies, so it’s anyone’s guess how Hope will inevitably reunite with the rest of her family.

Steven Krueger has been promoted to a series regular for the CW drama’s upcoming fifth season, TVLine has learned, ensuring that Josh will remain in the Mikaelsons’ orbit for the foreseeable future. When last we saw Josh in the Season 4 finale, he was convincing Marcel and Sofya to ally themselves with Klaus & Co. in order to stand against the followers of The Hollow.

Though little is known about the show’s future, its fourth season ended with the Mikaelson siblings being forcibly scattered to the winds — gotta keep those Hollow pieces separate! — and Hope entering her first year at Alaric and Caroline’s school for supernatural tinies in Mystic Falls. Additionally, a massive time jump is in order, after which teenage Hope will be played by 17-year-old Danielle Rose Russell.
