If Allison Scagliotti thinks stitching her friend into dead people’s memories is a tad on the unusual side, just wait until she steps foot in Mystic Falls.

Scagliotti, who also stars on Freeform’s Stitchers, will recur in The Vampire Diaries‘ upcoming eighth season — premiering Friday, Oct. 21 at 8/7c on The CW — as Georgie, TVLine has learned, an occult reach intern “driven by a horrific darkness in her own past.” (So, yeah, she’s got some demons.)
Georgie, who “channels her existential anxieties into a new field of study that will force her to confront her deepest fears,” makes her first appearance in the Season 8 premiere.

Much of TVD‘s eighth season is being kept under wraps; when last we spoke with executive producer Julie Plec, she couldn’t even reveal the name of the mysterious creature that turned Damon and Enzo evil in the season finale. Plec did, however, tell us that she’s “really excited” about the show’s new theme, “which should become very clear the minute [The CW starts] announcing episode titles.”

Kat en Paul waren dit jaar aanwezig op de Teen Choice Awards 2016 in L.A. eind juli. Alhoewel ‘The Vampire Diaries’ en ‘The Originals’ voor enkele catogoriën genomineerd waren wonnen ze dit jaar geen award. Paul presenteerde samen met ‘Once Upon a Time’ actrice Lana Parrilla een award.

Actrice Summer Fontana zal de rol van Hope gaan spelen in het opkomende vierde seizoen van ‘The Originals’, aangezien Hope geen baby meer is na de time-jump van 5 jaar.

As revealed as San Diego Comic-Con, there will be a five-year time jump between the CW drama’s third and fourth seasons — and now, TVLine can exclusively introduce you to the actress playing grown-up Hope: Summer Fontana.
Fontana, whose credits include a role in the movie Basic Witches (how appropriate!), began filming for Season 4 earlier this week. And, seriously, is she not the spitting image of her parents? (Or at least her father?)

“I’m excited to see what kind of personality this little girl has,” Phoebe Tonkin said of Hope during the cast’s interview with TVLine at Comic-Con. “Even though she hasn’t been around her dad for the last five years, I think there’s a lot of Klaus in her — good or bad — and I’m excited to see that in this little powerful witch.”

Neil Jackson, Ichabod’s friend-turned-frenemy on Fox’s Sleepy Hollow, will recur on The Originals‘ upcoming fourth season, series star Joseph Morgan revealed to reporters in the press room at San Diego Comic-Con.

Little is known as about Jackson’s character at the moment, save for him being a vampire named Alistair who will interact with Klaus. (For Alistair’s sake, let’s hope that interaction doesn’t involve a beheading — not that Jackson hasn’t had practice in that role.)

Jackson’s additional TV credits include roles on Blindspot, Person of Interest and Make It or Break It.

Joel Gretsch is gecast in de rol van Peter Maxwell voor 4 afleveringen. Hij is een hard werkende man die zijn familie lang geleden in de steek liet. Heading into The Vampire Diaries’ eighth and final season, fans don’t know what to expect when they return to Mystic Falls. Aside from the fact that there’s a scary new villain who has taken over Damon and Enzo’s minds, much of the season remains a mystery.

And today, we hand you one more piece of the puzzle: EW can exclusively reveal that Joel Gretsch has been cast in the role of Peter Maxwell. Peter is described as “a blue-collar guy who abandoned his family a long time ago. He is shocked when his grown son walks back into his life to reconnect — and to drag Peter into a world of supernatural dangers.”

The question is: Is his son someone we know? And could his name be Matt Donovan?

Gretsch will first appear in episode 4 and is set to recur.

Less than two weeks after The Vampire Diaries announced that its upcoming eighth season will be its last, RSVPs from former cast members are starting to roll in.

And the first familiar face popping up in Season 8 will be… Tristin Mays as Sarah Salvatore, TVLine has confirmed.

But the question is: What business does Sarah have in Mystic Falls? When we last saw Stefan and Damon’s descendent towards the end of Season 6, she was advised to leave town — though not compelled to forget what she’d learned about vampires — by Enzo, with whom she formed an uneasy bond.

Could Sarah, quite possibly Damon’s only living relative, be the key to pulling him back from the darkness? Or will she spend her screen time with Matt Donovan, who will be “exploring his humanity” this season, according to comments Zach Roerig made at San Diego Comic-Con? (It should be noted that Mays recently joined CBS’ MacGyver reboot as a series regular, so all we really know is that her time on TVD will be limited.)
