De trailer’s van Kat’s nieuwste film ‘If I Run’ is verschenen! De film verschijnt 2 augustus op de Amerikaanse zender Lifetime!

Matthew serie ‘Grosse Pointe Garden Society’ is gecanceld door zender NBC na een siezoen. Er is nog gekeken of de serie verder kon groeien op de streamingsdienst Peakcook maar ook hierin zag de zender geen mogelijkheden voor groei in de kijkcijfers.

NBC‘s suburban garden club is shutting down as the network has opted not to renew freshman drama Grosse Pointe Garden Society for a second season.

The news comes six weeks after NBC unveiled the bulk of its 2025-26 lineup, with Grosse Pointe Garden Society, from the Good Girls duo of Jenna Bans and Bill Krebs, as the only 2024-25 series whose fate was left undecided. That is because, as Deadline has reported, NBCUniversal executives wanted to explore the possibility of the serialized drama migrating to streamer Peacock.

After some number crunching, I hear it was ultimately decided that it would be hard for the series to grow its audience on Peacock, leading to the cancellation as the options of the cast were about to expire Monday.

A renewal by NBC had been pretty much out of the question as the mystery drama was a soft linear ratings performer, with its streaming numbers not able to offset that. The show originally launched behind Suits: LA on Sunday. It was subsequently moved to the Friday at 8pm slot, which did give it a modest linear ratings bump but not enough to trigger an NBC renewal possibility as Grosse Pointe Garden Society remained the network’s lowest rated scripted series of the season.

But the move to Friday helped the series’ streaming performance on Peacock, with new episodes of the show available on the platform on Saturday for weekend viewing vs. Monday in the old air pattern. Grosse Pointe Garden Society started popping up in Peacock’s daily Top 10, opening the transfer to Peacock conversation as the serialized series is clearly better suited for streaming.

The show is liked creatively and costs significantly less than a Peacock original drama but still, its move would’ve required financial resources from Peacock that had not been allocated and, with the audience projections not high enough, a pickup by the streamer did not materialize the way Law & Order: Organized Crime was able to relocate from NBC to Peacock last year.

The cancellation leaves fans with a lot of unanswered questions, the biggest coming in the season finale’s big cliffhanger: who was inside that duck costume at the garden club’s Halloween party and what had they done?

This brings the number of NBC scripted series not renewed for 2025-26 to 6, with Grosse Pointe Garden Society joining fellow casualties Suits: LA, The Irrational, Found, Night Court and Lopez vs. Lopez.

Grosse Pointe Garden Society follows four members of a suburban garden club who find their lives intertwined by scandal, mischief and a shared secret – a murder no one wants to talk about. As dark truths begin to rot their lives under the surface, they struggle to remain as perfect as the flowers blooming in their garden above.

It stars Melissa Fumero, Aja Naomi King, Ben Rappaport, AnnaSophia Robb, Matthew Davis, Alexander Hodge, Nancy Travis and Felix Wolfe.

The 13-episode first season launched in February, coming to a close on May 16. Bans and Krebs were co-showrunners and exec produce alongside Casey Kyber. The series was produced by Universal Television.

Kat’s aankomende film ‘If I Run’ zal op 2 augustus te zien zijn op de Amerikaanse zender Liftime. De film gebaseerd op het gelijknamige boek van Terri Blackstock en ze is ook executive producer van de film.

On August 2, Graham’s adaptation of Terri Blackstock’s Christian suspense book Terri Blackstock’s If I Run premieres. Graham executive produces and stars as Casey Cox, a woman on the run after her best friend is murdered — and she is being framed for it. Casey “must turn to her faith to guide her through the obstacles before her,” Lifetime says.

Phoebe is gecast in de nieuwe serie ‘Two Years Later’ voor Paramount Australië, opnames zijn net begonnen in Brisabane en de serie zal in 2026 exclusief te zien zijn op de streamingsdienst.

Screen Australia and Paramount Australia have announced filming has kicked off in Brisbane for “Two Years Later”.

Australian heavyweights Brenton Thwaites (“Pirates of the Caribbean”,” Maleficent”) and Phoebe Tonkin (“H2O: Just Add Water”, “Boy Swallows Universe”) lead the eight-part romantic dramedy as thirty-somethings Ryan and Emily.

It follows the pair’s unexpected relationship across eight dates, picking up two years after their daily bus flirtations ended with the COVID-19 pandemic. The series offers a tender, funny, unfiltered exploration of modern love. It will launch exclusively on Paramount Plus in 2026.

“Deep Water” screenwriter Pete Bridges created the series, with Tropfest winner Emma Freeman directing and Emmy- and BAFTA-winning company Hoodlum producing.

Daniel Monaghan, senior VP of content and programming at Paramount Australia, called the series “unlike anything else on screen — intimate, honest and refreshingly grounded.”

“Phoebe and Brenton bring extraordinary nuance and chemistry to a story that celebrates the messiness of modern dating,” Monaghan added.

Danielle’s nieuwe serie ‘The Waterfront’ is sinds afgelopen donderdag te streamen op Netflix.

Candice nieuwste serie is afgelopen week uitgekomen op Amazon Prime, om de release van ‘We Are Lairs’ te promoten had ze verschillende interviews.

Phoebe is eerder deze maand getrouwd met kunstadviseur en -curator Bernard Lagrange in NYC. Phoebe en Bernard heb al enkele jaren een relatie maar hielden deze lange tijd privé, het stel verloofde zich in oktober vorig jaar. Phoebe haar trouwjurk werd gemaakt door Chanel, hiervover is een artikel verschenen in Vogue, waarin ze verteld over het maken ervan met foto’s gemaakt door Matt Blake. En voor haar trouwerij zelf werkte ze mee aan nog een artikel van Vogue, de trouwfoto’s zijn gemaakt door vriend en fotograaf Darren McDonald.

Tijdens de trouwerij was beste vriendin en oud-collega Claire Holt één van de bruidsmeisjes. Ook Nina Dobrev was uitgenodigd samen met vele andere beroemdheden zoals Teresa Palmer, Margot Robbie en Lara Worthington.

Kaylee is gecast in de nieuwe sci-fi horror ‘The Rift’.

“The Rift,” a sci-fi horror feature from producer Frank Ponce (“The Line”) and director Colin Levy (“Skywatch”), has locked its principal cast with filming set to commence this July in New Mexico, it was unveiled at the Cannes Film Market.

The project will star Kaylee Kaneshiro, known for her work in “Legacies,” alongside Anna Akana (“Jupiter’s Legacy”) and Braxton Fannin (“If That Mockingbird Don’t Sing”).

Ponce, who produces through his Rabbit Hole Films banner, described the script as “the most chilling and emotionally resonant genre script I’ve read in years,” adding: “We’re assembling a dream cast and crew to bring this vision to life with the grounded intensity it deserves.”

For Levy, the material connects on a personal level. “‘The Rift’ ignites the curious, inner-child part of me that’s still searching for answers,” the director stated. “I hope to honor what the Bottas have crafted — a sharp, reality-bending pressure cooker that explores the destructive consequences of our primal need to belong.”

The filmmakers previously collaborated on “The Secret Number,” a YouTube short that gained recognition for its cerebral approach to science fiction. “The Rift” represents Ponce’s effort to position Rabbit Hole Films as a home for emotionally charged genre storytelling that “unsettles, provokes, and elevates” the horror and sci-fi categories.

Technical contributors include cinematographer Michael Alden Lloyd (“Borderline”), production designer Sarah Loepkke (“ALT”), and casting by Briana Frapart (“Pain & Gain”), with financial backing from Film New Mexico. The executive production team consists of Shane Seo, Jim Rine, with Adarsh Bhatt and Ian Moe serving as co-executive producers, and Joey Tuccio and Brandon Combs as co-producers.
