Nina Dobrev (The Bricklayer) has joined Russell Crowe and Kartiah Vergara in Bear Country, the action thriller helmed by Derrick Borte that’s currently shooting in the Australian state of Queensland.

An adaptation of the novel Strip by Thomas Perry, Bear Country stars Crowe as the aging yet formidable club owner, Manco Kapak, who has been robbed by a masked gunman. Now, his aspirations of selling his club and riding off into the sunset alongside his girlfriend appear more distant than ever. Cartel bosses are breathing down his neck and a young upstart has been posing as the new guy in town eager to purchase the club.

Borte adapted the screenplay with Daniel Forte. Producers include Mark Fasano (Marlowe) of Nickel City Pictures; Jeffrey Greenstein (The Hitman’s Bodyguard) of A Higher Standard; Deborah Glover (Sleeping Dogs) of G2 Dispatch; and Mark Bower and Bruno Mustic of Life & Soul Pictures. The production is supported by the City of Gold Coast and by the Australian Government through the Location Offset.

Dobrev recently starred in the action thriller The Bricklayer opposite Aaron Eckhart, the Netflix action comedy The Out-Laws, produced by Adam Sandler, and the romantic comedy Love Hard, which debuted as the #1 film in the world on Netflix. She also starred in and exec produced Sick Girl and played a lead in Run This Town opposite Ben Platt. Her previous work also includes Flatliners for Sony and The Perks of Being a Wallflower, directed by Stephen Chbosky.

Dobrev is represented by CAA, Lighthouse Management & Media, and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.

Phoebe heeft afgelopen week op de Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) de award gewonnen voor beste actrice in een dramaserie voor haar rol in de Netflix serie ‘Boy Swallows Universe’. Ze kreeg de award uitgereikt van haar beste vriendin en actrice Theresa Palmer tijdens de ceremonie in Sydney.

Vorige maand is de trailer van Matthew’s nieuwe serie ‘Grosse Pointe Garden Society’ verschenen, de serie is vanaf 23 februari te zien op de Amerikaanse zender NBC.

ctor Torrey DeVitto stars in a new PETA campaign urging everyone to leave goats in peace and leave cashmere where it belongs—on its original owners. The Chicago Med star, who just welcomed her daughter and was pregnant at the time of her shoot, says, “One of the most important things that I want to pass down to my child is compassion and kindness. I want her to grow up around animals and have that respect for them, and just be mindful of what she chooses to eat and wear.”

As a rescue guardian to two goats, Pip and Squeak, on her Michigan farm, DeVitto reveals goats suffer when their hair is torn out to make sweaters and scarves and encourages fans to opt for cruelty-free options instead: “If you’re looking for something new right now, look for the vegan alternative. It’s so easy.”

Mother goats form strong bonds with their young, and both mother and baby recognize each other’s distinct calls—or “bleats”—shortly after birth. PETA Asia investigations into cashmere operations in China and Mongolia—where nearly all of the world’s cashmere is produced—revealed terrified goats screaming in pain as workers pin them down, twist their legs, and tear out their hair with sharp, rake-like metal combs, tearing off pieces of their skin and leaving some with bleeding wounds. Goats deemed no longer profitable are sent to the slaughterhouse, where workers drag them onto the kill floor, bash them over the head with hammers, and slit their throats.

De laatste paar maanden is de website moeilijk tot niet te bezoeken geweest i.v.m. een hack. Hierdoor ben ik ook een deel van de updates kwijt die wel gemaakt zijn. Daarnaast speelde ook er wat in mijn privéomstandigheden waardoor deze website een geen prioriteit had.

Ik hoop aankomende week tijd te kunnen maken om alle nieuwsberichten te updaten de te kunnen beginnen aan de een update van de galerij.

Ook zal er dan weer een nieuwe TVD lay-out te zien zijn. Het eerdere thema heeft wat kuren waardoor nu even deze simpelere.

Paul is al executive producer bezig om een nieuwe tv-serie over vampieren te maken voor de Amerikaanse zender Fox. In de geplande komedie wil een 25-jarige vampier doorbreken als acteur en niet meer wil weken in het familiebedrijf van zijn moorddadige en verstikkende vampierouders. Het is nog niet bekend wie de rollen in de serie gaan spelen, en of Paul ook zelf één van de rollen op zich zal nemen.

Paul Wesley, an actor who played a vampire on The Vampire Diaries, is executive producing a series project about a vampire who wants to be an actor. The untitled comedy, which landed at Fox for development in a competitive situation, centers on a determined 25-year-old vampire who struggles with running the family business for his executive producexecutive produc while trying to chase his dream to become an actor.

It is written by Unstable co-creator Victor Fresco and will be directed by Liz Friedlander (The Rookie). The duo and Wesley executive produce with Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment and Tracy Katsky of KatCo. Fox Entertainment is the studio.

The team of the project are all interconnected via past collaborations. Fresco created the Netflix horror comedy series Santa Clarita Diet, which he executive produced with Kaplan and Katsky. Friedlander and Wesley have been friends since she directed episodes of The Vampire Diaries. Wesley was a star and Friedlander director/executive producer on Kapital’s CBS All Access psychological thriller drama series Tell Me A Story, and Friedlander recently directed episodes of Kapital’s Starz’s horror comedy series Shining Vale. Wesley also has a producing deal with Kapital for his Citizen Media.

The idea for the vampire comedy came from Friedlander, Wesley and Kaplan who shared it with Fresco. The pitch garnered multiple offers before it was set up at Fox.

Comedy veteran Fresco also created Andy Richter Controls the Universe and Better Off Ted, among other series. He is repped by WME and attorney Jared Levine.

Friedlander recently directed Apple TV+’s Bad Monkey and Netflix’s upcoming The Waterfront. She directed the pilots for such series as Tell Me A Story, The Lincoln Lawyer and The Equalizer. She is repped by CAA and attorney Howard Abramson.

Wesley has been recurring on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds as James T. Kirk. He is repped by IAG, Anonymous Content and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.

Ali Afshar’s ESX Entertainment has set the western Day of Reckoning starring Billy Zane, Zach Roerig and Cara Jade Myers.

Pic follows put-upon lawman John Dorsey (Roerig), who on the verge of losing his wife and his job as sheriff, posses up with a bullish U.S. Marshall Butch Hayden (Zane) to hold outlaw Emily Rouse (Myers) hostage. A battle of wills ensues as Emily turns the posse on themselves, but as her marauding husband and his gang approach, Emily and John realize they will need each other to survive.

Shaun Silva of TackleBox Films is directing.

Producers of the movie are Ali Afshar (American Wrestler: The Wizard, Bennett’s War), Christina Moore (Dirt, Casa Grande, Wheels of Fortune) Daniel Aspromonte (The Curse of the Necklace, Born a Champion, A California Christmas, A Christmas Mystery, That’s Amor), and Don Lepore (Ride, Billy Joel – The Last Play at Shea, Emmy nominated The Irrelevant Giant. Co-producers are Alex Ranarivelo and Cherelle George.

Day of Reckoning is the 25th movie from Ali Afshar’s ESX Entertainment. The company has had 14 films and series released since 2020 alone, including seven that reached #1 on their streaming services. Among them are the worldwide Netflix hit A California Christmas.” ESX released its first horror film The Curse of the Necklace this summer starring Madeline and Violet McGraw.

Silva counts over two decades directing award-winning music videos, commercials, and documentaries for ESPN Films. Silva won multiple CMA video of the year awards and CMA touring director of the year along with Director of the year. He’s helmed music videos for country music artists, including Kenny Chesney, Jack Ingram, Sugarland, Luke Bryan, Brooks & Dunn, and Rascal Flatts.

Zane is the star of Titanic, Tombstone, and the upcoming Waltzing with Brando. Roerig’s credits include Vampire Diaries, Rings and Friday Night Lights. Myers starred in Killers of the Flower Moon.
