A CELEBRATION OF LIFE – Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) confronts a surprising enemy as she and her unborn baby fall into peril during a celebratory wake to honor a fallen member of the community. In order to save Hayley, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) enlist the help of Genevieve (guest star Elyse Levesque) who struggles to maintain control over Davina (Danielle Campbell) and the other young witches. Cami (Leah Pipes) tells Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) that Francesca (guest star Peta Sargent) is determined to find a mysterious key that may unlock a family secret. Meanwhile, as Klaus suffers from nightmares of his father Mikael (guest star Sebastian Roche), he is forced to examine his troubled relationship with his own adoptive son, Marcel.

When Tyler (Michael Trevino) turns up at the Salvatore house with the news that Markos’ (guest star Raffi Barsoumian) plan to break the witches’ curse puts Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) in imminent danger, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) suggests they hide out in the remote cabin once owned by Caroline’s (Candice Accola) father. Once there, it becomes obvious to Caroline that Stefan and Elena are keeping a secret, so Damon (Ian Somerhalder) comes up with a parlor game designed to expose the truth. A ghostly presence at the cabin uses violence and fire to make itself known. Meanwhile, Matt (Zach Roerig) takes charge of Tyler’s plan to get information from one of the Travelers, and Bonnie (Kat Graham) continues to keep the truth about the Other Side from Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), despite warnings from Grams (guest star Jasmine Guy). Joshua Butler directed the episode written by Elisabeth R. Finch & Holly Brix (#520).

Nina Dobrev is gecast in de nieuwe horror-komedie ‘The Final Girl’!

Filming on The Vampire Diaries’ fifth season has wrapped up, and now its star Nina Dobrev has signed herself up for a film project to tide her over.

She’s reportedly tapped to play alongside Silicon Valley actor Thomas Middleditch in horro-comedy The Final Girls, directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, they’ll be joined by Adam Devine, Alexander Ludwig and Malin Akerman; with Taissa Farmiga in the lead role.

The meta movie will centre on a girl (Farmiga) who is mysteriously transported inside the world of a 1980s horror film, which starred her late mother (Akerman), along with her friends.

Middleditch is said to be on board to play a film geek who is initially overcome with excitement at being transported inside a movie world, while Dobrev is slated to play best-friend-in-chief.

Things seem to be going from strength to strength for the hugely popular former flame of Ian Somerhalder, who has previously starred in The Perks Of Being A Wallflower.

This summer she’ll be seen in Let’s Be Cops; a trailer for which saw her going topless as part of one of the comedy’s raunchier scenes.

The Final Girls is written by Mark Fortin and Joshua John Miller; with Michael London and Janice Williams producing.

THE BREAKING POINT — Desperate to help Kieran (guest star Todd Stashwick), Cami (Leah Pipes) insists on an unconventional treatment, but her good intentions lead Kieran to a violent episode. After Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) disagree over the best way to handle the Crescent Wolves, Elijah makes a trip to the bayou, where he is witness to a horrific explosion that only adds to the hatred and mistrust among the communities. While Jackson (guest star Nathan Parsons) and Elijah work to save the wounded, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) learns a surprising piece of her family history from Marcel (Charles Michael Davis).

Damon demands the Traveler knife, forcing Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Matt (Zach Roerig) to admit it has gone missing. Through flashbacks to election night, 1960, Enzo (guest star Michael Malarkey) reveals to Elena, Stefan and Bonnie that he has learned what happened to his long-lost love, Maggie (guest star Heather Hemmens), and then, with the unwilling help of Liv (guest star Penelope Mitchell) and Luke (guest star Chris Brochu), things take an ugly turn. Trying to calm Enzo down, Damon intervenes, but his words cause Enzo to make a desperate and dangerous decision that leads to a violent confrontation with Stefan. Finally, Markos (guest star Raffi Barsoumian) enlists Sloan’s (guest star Caitlin McHugh) help in a ritual designed to break an ancient curse against the Travelers. Tyler (Michael Trevino) is forced to play a dangerous part in the ritual, while witnessing the incredible power the Travelers now possess.

Dit is de eerste keer sinds de bekendmaking van hun scheiding dat Paul en Torrey aanwezig waren op hetzelfde event.
