KLZ events heeft laten weten dat Micheal Trevino de vijfde gast voor de BloodyNightCon Europe conventie zal zijn op 10 en 11 mei in Brussel. Daarnaast zal er nog een zesde bonus gast komen die nog bekend gemaakt moet worden. Ik kan in iedergeval niet wachten om weer te gaan :)

Claire Holt heeft gereageerd op haar vertrek uit ‘The Originals’. In een interview aan BuzzFeed laat ze weten dat haar keuze om de serie te verlaten om persoonlijke reden was. Ze laat weten dat ze niet op creatieve reden de serie verlaten heeft, maar haar familie en vrienden mist. Claire Holt Sets The Record Straight About Her Exit From “The Originals”
In an exclusive interview with BuzzFeed, Holt confirms it was her decision to leave The CW’s vampire drama. Additionally, executive producer Julie Plec reveals how The Originals will proceed without Rebekah Mikaelson.

On March 11, BuzzFeed reported that Claire Holt had chosen to leave The Vampire Diaries spin-off, The Originals, after her 16-episode contract was up. At the time, Holt and creator Julie Plec chose not to comment, but now, Holt and Plec are breaking their silence, speaking exclusively to BuzzFeed, in order to squash inaccurate reports.

“It’s ludicrous,” Holt stated of rumors the writers had run out of ideas for her character and forced her out of the show. “I want to be very clear that they didn’t run out of material, I wasn’t pushed out, I wasn’t fed up with Rebekah, I didn’t quit mid-season, there was no drama, there was no rift between cast members; it really came down to the fact that I completed my initial commitment and made a life choice not a career choice.”

Holt’s decision to leave, which she said solely stemmed from a desire to be back in Los Angeles, CA with her loved ones, did not come easily. “This show has been so amazing for my career, and I’ve had such unbelievable material, it was just never my intention to be away from home this long,” she said of the atypical route that brought her to The Originals, which began as a three-episode guest role on Season 3 of The Vampire Diaries, but quickly evolved into so much more.

“It was a tough choice that I didn’t fully make it right up until the end because I was enjoying myself so much. But three seasons later, I realized I hadn’t been home to Australia in years, I hadn’t seen my family, and I hadn’t spent time with the people I loved. But I want to make it so clear that this show has such a special place in my heart. I am so glad I was able to do The Originals, and I want to be a part of that family for a long time. I am simply looking at this as a temporary absence.”

Het is bekende geworden dat Claire Holt stopt als vaste castlid bij ‘The Originals’. Dit besluit zou zij volgens bronnen zelf genomen hebben en nooit van plan zijn geweest om de rol van Rebekah zo lang te spelen. De aflevering van afgelopen nacht 1×16 Farewell to Storyville is voorlopig haar laatste aflevering, mogelijk dat ze in de toekomst nog als gastrol terugkeerd in de serie.

The March 11 episode of The Originals ended with Rebekah Mikaelson (Claire Holt) driving off into the distance after being set free by her brother, Klaus (Joseph Morgan). But unlike she has in the past, this time Rebekah won’t make a U-turn and head back into the chaos of New Orleans; this was the last fans will see of the character for the near future.

BuzzFeed has confirmed that Episode 16, the aptly titled “Farewell to Storyville,” was Holt’s final installment as a series regular. According to sources close to production, it was entirely the actress’s decision to leave The Originals, but everyone involved with the freshman series hopes she might return for future guest appearances.

This revelation will undoubtedly come as a shock to fans since Rebekah is effectively the female lead of The Originals, and has been deeply interwoven into the show’s complex mythology. In expanding upon Holt’s character, who was a villainess for much of her time on The Vampire Diaries, The Originals had her forge a deep bond with werewolf Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and revealed her Romeo and Juliet-esque history with Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), a vampire sired by Klaus centuries earlier.
Holt’s character was first introduced on The Vampire Diaries in 2011, and her initial three-episode Season 3 guest arc turned into much, much more. Eventually, the entire Mikaelson family — which, in addition to Klaus, also includes eldest brother Elijah (Daniel Gillies) — got its own series, The Originals, which began airing in September 2013. A source close to Holt told BuzzFeed that the actress never intended to play Rebekah for as long as she did.
Neither Holt nor The Originals creator Julie Plec would comment for this story.

In aflevering 1×16 van ‘The Originals’ zullen we een jongere versie zien van Klaus, Elijah en Rebekah. De onderstaande kindsterren zijn gecast op deze rol op zich te nemen!

Before Klaus was ripping out hearts, snapping necks, and causing a total ruckus in New Orleans (in his own charming way of course), he was but a wee Viking lad with an active imagination. That’s right — prior to being tortured by his family and turned into an immortal fiend, Niklaus Mikaelson was actually an innocent child once who dreamed of embarking on glorious adventures and visiting majestic cities. (We’re sure he was probably naughty sometimes as well — nibbling on sweets before supper, tugging on Rebekah’s golden braids when his parents weren’t looking, and flashing his precious dimples to get out of sticky situations — but it’s all good.) Well get excited, gentle viewers, because we will be getting our first glimpse of Klaus as a youngster in The Originals Season 1 Episode 16: “Farewell to Storyville.” The character will be played by cute-as-a-button actor Aiden Flowers, and with his blond hair and sparkling eyes, we think Aiden is the perfect kid for the job!

MAiden, a Mississippi native who loves making stop-motion Lego movies during his downtime and is represented by Action Talent Agency/Angie Moncrief, has starred in several film so far including North of Hell (where he played the son of Katherine Heigl’s and Patrick Wilson’s characters), Maggie, Smothered, and 2 Bedroom 1 Bath. We just know that he’s going to blow our minds with his portrayal of the adorable-yet-tough Klaus. You’ve already met Aiden Flowers, the adorable child actor who will be portraying little Klaus Mikaelson in The Originals Season 1 Episode 16. Now prepare to meet the equally precious kid who has been cast as young Elijah: Perry Cox! According to IMDb, this adorable and talented thespian is also set to make his official debut in the sixteenth episode of the Vampire Diaries spin-off, which is titled “Farewell to Storyville.”

Some of Perry’s television and film credits include Drop Dead Diva, Revolution (as young Miles), and The Odd Life of Timothy Green. That said, we have a feeling he’s going to make waves as Klaus and Rebekah’s big brother. Welcome to the OG family, Perry!
We don’t know about you but this kid is a pretty much a dead ringer for lil’ Elijah. Those warm, brown eyes that put you at ease, that dark hair that settles perfectly just over his forehead, and his wise-beyond-his-years demeanor? Throw in some tiny, fancy suits and quotes about family and honor and we’re taking business!

According to recent spoilers, this installment will feature several flashbacks and show the Mikaelsons as pint-sized humans. Moreover, in an attempt to end the nonstop bickering between Klaus and Rebekah, Elijah, the clan’s go-to mediator, reveals a long-held secret from the family’s past. We can’t wait to find out what it is and to see the Originals as children!

With her blonde waves, wondrous, blue eyes, and sweet smile, this little lady is the spitting image of Claire Holt, who plays the adult version of Rebekah on The Vampire Diaries spinoff. Moreover, Callie is just as brilliant of an actress; taking into account how she’s still at the start of her film and television career, it’s amazing that she’s already booked so many great roles! Along with her highly anticipated Originals gig, this little lady stars as Sharon Blackwell in “11 Seconds”, Hanna James in the TV movie “Anna Nicole,” and young Karen Wheaton in “It’s Supernatural.”

Just like the other pint-sized Mikaelsons, she will be making her official debut in a significant flashback scene in “Farewell to Storyville.” Will it be the one in which Elijah reveals a shocking secret about their family? Perhaps, but one thing’s for sure: the trio’s childhood vignettes will be memorable and oh-so-endearing, especially when contrasted with the show’s constant slew of supernatural battles and bloodshed.

Overall, we’re excited to see Callie in action as the feisty little Viking. Considering how we recently found out that Rebekah is Mikael’s favorite child and that she was also quite sneaky for such a small tyke (basically, she did naughty things and blamed them on Klaus like any younger sibling would), we’re intrigued to see her as an itty bitty girl.
