The CW heeft bekend gemaakt wanneer de laatste aflevering van het eerste en vijfde seizoen van ‘The Originals’ en ‘The Vampire Diaries’ te zien zal zijn op de zender. ‘The Originals’ laatste aflevering zal zijn op 13 mei, die van ‘The Vampire Diaries’ op 15 mei. Hierna zal de serie voor enkele maanden op hiatus gaan, waarin de cast vakantie heeft, aan andere projecten zal werken en zal starten met de opnames van het volgend seizoen.

Hoogstwaarschijnlijk zullen beide series rond september/oktober 2014 dan weer te zien zijn op TV.

De 27-jarige Sarah Jones is omgekomen tijdens een ongeval op de filmset van ‘Midnight Rider’. Sarah die samen met andere Crewleden bezig was voor opnames langs een spoorlijn werden verrast door een trein. Sarah overleed aan haar verwondingen enkele andere raakte ook gewond. Sarah was ook
Crewlid van ‘The Vampire Diaries’.

Tragedy struck the Georgia set of the Greg Allman biopic “Midnight Rider” when crew member Sarah Jones was killed Thursday in a train accident. Jones was also on the crew of the popular CW TV series “The Vampire Diaries.”

A CSX train struck and killed Jones, 27, of Atlanta, who was part of a 20-person crew filming on the tracks in Jesup, Ga. Seven other people were injured in the accident, local NBC affiliate WSAV reported.

The accident occurred around 4 p.m. Thursday, Wayne County EMA Director Keith Wright told the station. Wayne County Det. Joe Gardner said the film crew was putting a mattress on the tracks when they were struck by the CSX train. The crew, including Jones, was working for Meddin Studios, a company based in Savannah, Ga.

In a statement to WSAV, CSX said the Savannah-bound train was coming from Memphis. The rail company also said it was cooperating with an investigation into the accident.

“CSX is deeply saddened by a tragedy that occurred late today on a CSX rail bridge in Doctortown, Ga., and is cooperating fully with authorities as they investigate,” the statement read. “CSX personnel are working with first responders to meet the needs of those injured. The train was en route from Memphis to Savannah when the incident occurred.”

Jones’ “The Vampire Diary” family tweeted their condolences after learning of her death, including “TVD” executive producer Julie Plec and actor Steven McQueen.

Alexander Ignon (“Ransom”) wrote the story, centered on the spoiled offspring of international billionaires being sent to a tough-love school in the remote wilderness. When they are taken hostage and held for a $1 billion ransom, the kids are forced to try to save themselves.
Sumpter’s credits include “Peter Pan” and “Soul Surfer.” Tonkin has appeared on “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals” and Koch starred in “The Lives of Other.”
Gillespie directed “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”
Sumpter is represented by Innovative Artists. Tonkin is repped by ICM Partners as well as Management 360. Koch is repped by Travistock Wood Management and Die Agenten.

Nathaniel Buzolic heeft één van de hoofdrollen gescoord in de spin-off serie van Supernatural die volgend tv seizoen op The CW te zien zal zijn. De Supernatural aflevering van 29 april zal dienen als de pilot aflevering voor Supernatural: Tribes.

Supernatural: Tribes is resurrecting The Vampire Diaries‘ Kol!

Nathaniel Buzolic, whose two-season run as the volatile Original ended last May, is joining The CW’s planted Supernatural spin-off as a series regular, TVLine has learned.

Additionally, Lucien Laviscount (Episodes, Skins) has also boarded the project as one of the leads.

Tribes is being described as a sweeping drama about the various mafia-esque monster families that unknowingly-to-humans “run” the underbelly of Chicago and who are being tracked by a newly-minted Hunter who’s trying to stop them and rid Chicago of anything or anyone supernatural.

Buzolic will play David Hayden, a shapeshifter from one of the ruling monster families who’s been living as a human, having given up the monster life years ago.

Laviscount, meanwhile, will portray Ennis Roth, a resolute police academy trainee whose fiancée is killed in the crossfire of the monster war. The tragedy leads him to the truth about what lurks in the shadows and becomes a monster-hunter himself. (He’s the “newly-minted Hunter” referenced in the above logline.)

Both characters will appear in this season’s 20th episode of Supernatural — aka Tribes’ de-facto pilot — airing April 29.
