Ik heb boven in de balk een nieuwe pagina aangemaakt voor de nieuwe spin-off ‘Legacies’ hier kan je nu alle informatie vinden over de nieuwe serie! Hoogwaarschijnlijk verschijnt er de komende weken meer informatie als de serie op The CW begint!

Op 11-12 augustus was er een “The Vampire Diaries” Conventie in San Fransisco, hierbij waren Michael Trevino, Daniel Gillies, Claire Holt, Nate Buzolic, Paul Wesley en Joseph Morgan bij aanwezig. Enkele foto’s staan in de galerij.

Op 1 augustus organiseerde ‘The Originals’ een Finale Party in Covington, de plaats waar ook de opnames plaats vonden. Hierbij waren verschillende castleden bij aanwezig waaronder: Leah Pipes, Charles Michael Davis, Zach Roerig, Michael Trevino, Riley Voelkel en Summer Fontana. Afgelopen juni kondigde Candice King en Kayla Ewell al aan dat ze samen aan een nieuwe project werken en gisteren heb ze op instagram live aangekondigd dat dit een podcast zal zijn! Actrice Karen Davis heeft een terugkerende rol gescoord in ‘Legacies’, ze zal de rol van heks Emma Tig op zich nemen die een soort van vertrouwenspersoon zal zijn op de Salvatore School.

Galavant alum Karen David has booked a season-long arc on the CW’s upcoming Legacies, the next chapter of The Vampire Diaries/The Originals trilogy from executive producer-writer Julie Plec.

Legacies tells the story of the next generation of supernatural beings at the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted, where 17-year-old Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell) and others come of age in the most unconventional way possible, nurtured to be their best selves — in spite of their worst impulses — all under the watchful eye of headmaster Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis).

David will play Emma Tig. A beautiful witch-turned-guidance counselor, she is the moral support and shoulder to cry on for all the students at the Salvatore School, even if the person who needs her therapy the most (the headmaster) remains an elusive patient.

Plec co-writes and executive produces with Brett Matthews. Leslie Morganstein and Gina Girolamo also executive produce. Legacies is produced by Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios, in association with My So-Called Television and Alloy Entertainment.

David is best known for her series-regular role of Princess Isabella on Galavant and her season-long arc as Princess Jasmine on Once Upon a Time. She currently recurs on Criminal Minds and Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television. David is repped by SDB Partners and Generate.

Leah is gecast in de nieuwe film ‘The Perfect One’, opnames van de film vinden momenteel plaats in Kentucky. Dit is Leah’s eerste project sinds ze gestopt in ‘The Originals’ in 2017.

“I feel like everybody is uniquely original. I think that we, unfortunately, have become oblivious to our singularities, particularly in this time of social media. Everybody is sprinting towards an idea that looks like everyone else’s idea of what they ought to be. Everyone’s an original but not many people think to explore the most unique parts of [who they are], including celebrating their weaknesses, humility, and shortcomings.”

Sari: Let’s talk about your character in The Originals. What do you think fans loved most about Elijah? What do you think his most redeeming quality was?
Daniel Gillies: What I love about him [is that] people saw him as a fortress of great civility. But the truth is, he is and always has been, a monster in a suit. I think there was this idea of honor and nobility, and this loyalty to his family and none of those ideas are representative of him. I think he has a very unusual devotion to his brother and that unusual devotion is the bedrock upon which the show is built. I don’t judge it, either way. It is what it is. In fact, I think it’s one of the most fascinating parts of the character. He clings to his humanity more than any of the other protagonists in the piece. I personally think that what’s most interesting about him is that he desperately wants to observe some kind of harmony within the Universe they inhabit. He’s looking to create this sanctuary for this family, but unfortunately, by virtue of who they are, that’s probably never going to be found.
