GOING AFTER EVERYTHING ESTHER LOVES — When Klaus (Joseph Morgan) discovers that Elijah (Daniel Gillies) has been afflicted by Esther’s (Sonja Sohn) magic, he heads to the bayou in search of an antidote, but quickly realizes he’s not alone. Armed with intel gathered by Aiden (guest star Colin Woodell), Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) teams up with him, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), Cami (Leah Pipes) and Josh (guest star Steven Kruger) and launches a plan to take down Vincent (guest star Yusuf Gatewood) by exploiting his one weakness. Meanwhile, with Esther determined to carry out her plan, Vincent and Kaleb (guest star Daniel Sharman) are forced to reconsider their own strategies. Intrigued by Davina’s (Danielle Campbell) unwavering attempts to create an unlinking spell, Kaleb lets her in on some secrets from his past and brings her to a place he frequented in 1914. Nina zal op 17 november meedoen aan The 24 Hour Plays op Broadway, een jaarlijks terugkerend evenement waarbij meer dan 12 acteurs, 6 schrijvers en 6 regisseurs uitgedaagd worden om zes originele toneelstukken te bedenken en op te voeren in één dag. Deze zullen voor live publiek worden opgevoerd in het American Airlines Theatre in New York City. Alle opbrengsten komen te goede aan de Urban Arts Partnership.

Malese Jow gecast in The Flash

Malese Jow heeft een rol gescoord in de nieuwe CW serie ‘The Flash’! Ze zal vanaf aflevering 1×12 te zien zijn als Linda Parks, een terugkerende rol.

Malese Jow has been announced as the newest cast member of CW’s TV adaptation of DC Comics The Flash.
It was announced on Monday that Jow would be joining the cast in a recurring role as Linda Park.
The 23-year-old star joins the cast after previously starring on the CW series Star-Crossed and The Vampire Diaries.

Malese took to Twitter on Monday to share her excitement.
‘YOU GUYS, I AM SO EXCITED!! #TheFlash @CW_TheFlash,’ she posted, along with a link to the story from The Hollywood Reporter confirming the news.
Her character, is described as a quick-witted reporter for the Central City Picture News.
She will help Iris, played by Candice Patton, find her way in the fast-paced journalism world.

Love is in the air: Jow will be playing the love interest of Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin
The new character will first meet Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin, at a local bar, and the two will hit it off.
This could mean big things for the characters, as Linda is very important to Barry in the comics.
She first appears in Issue No. 28 as The Flash’s girlfriend, and then later she shows up as the comic book hero’s wife.

Jow will make her debut on the CW show in episode 112.

Er is meer informatie verschenen over de vierdelige webseries genaamd The Originals: Awakening waarin Nate Buzolic te zien zal zijn als Kol!

Double the Kol, double the fun.

Don’t say The Originals’ creative team doesn’t listen to their fans because they’re about give many of them exactly what they’ve been asking for: More Kol Mikaelson! E! News can exclusively reveal that the CW hit is launching a four-part digital series, The Originals: Awakening, sponsored by Target and centering on the youngest Original brother, with Nathaniel Buzolic reprising the fan favorite role. (Daniel Sharman currently plays the character on the series. It’s a whole body-jumping witch thing.) We’ve also got your first look at Buzolic, who appeared via flashback in a recent episode, back in action.

Of returning to the role that scored him legions of loyal fans, Nathaniel Buzolic exclusively tells us he’s “excited for fans to see a little more of Kol, the most misunderstood member of the Mikaelson family.” Spoken like a true misunderstood Mikaelson family member!

Awakening will premiere on Monday, Nov. 10 on cwtv.com during the east coast airing of The Originals, with new episodes rolling out each Monday. With the series paralleling The Originals’ storylines, fans can expect Awakening to directly tie into the midseason finale, airing on Dec. 8.

So what’s the digital series about exactly?
We’re flashing back to 1914, with Kol on a quest to form an alliance with the witches of the French Quarter. And Awakening will gives fans answers to some major burning questions about Kol’s past, including how and why he found himself up against his siblings, why he was daggered and the unique backstory he has with the NoLa witches.

Carina MacKenzie, a writer on The Originals, penned the Kol-centric series, telling us she was excited to delve into Kol’s mischievous nature and previously untapped backstory.
“When we found out we were going to get to do a web series, I immediately thought of Kol—because his mischief has always been part of the fabric of the city. We know from The Vampire Diaries that Kol has a history with the witches of New Orleans, and we’ve kept that in mind since the very beginning of The Originals,” she said. “In the web series fans will get to see how some events of last season can actually be traced back to Kol, and we’ll reveal some clues as to his current agenda with Davina. Thanks to some body-swapping hijinks, we’ve got Daniel Sharman playing the character on the show now, but we’re always super excited when we can bring Nathaniel Buzolic in for flashbacks. I had a great time working with him— he’s hilarious, and just steps right back into Kol so brilliantly. And he’s a really, really good sport about getting positively drenched in fake blood.”

The Originals airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on the CW. The Originals: Awakening, sponsored by Target, will premiere Monday, Nov. 10 on cwtv.com.
