‘Flash’ actrice Candice Patton heeft laten dat ze graag wil dat Malese Jow weer terugkeert naar de serie in haar haar rol van Linda Park. In is in 7 aflevering van de serie gezien en was voor het laatst te zien in 2015, toen liet ze zelf al weten dat meer te vertellen is over haar personage.

During last month’s San Diego Comic-Con, Patton revealed that she’s been campaigning for Jow’s return to the CW series because she thinks that her character, Iris West, and Jow’s Linda have the potential to form a strong female friendship.

“I keep advocating for Linda Park to come back because I feel like they, of all the characters, could have a really great female friendship,” Patton said (via Comic Book Resources). “I don’t know if that’s something that’s going to happen. But we’ve got Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), we’ve got Gypsy (Jessica Camacho), Jessie Quick (Violett Beane), who’s kind of taken off for now. … The female friendships [on the show] are kind of not as strong, but I don’t know. We’ll see. Maybe Season 4. Maybe.”

Due to the show’s lack of defining moments between female characters, some people have seen “The Flash” as a “boy’s club,” which arguably makes sense. For instance, Caitlin and Iris’ relationship hasn’t become deeper despite knowing each other for three seasons now.

During a panel at DragonCon in 2015, Patton briefly explained why she thinks female friendships don’t shine as bright as male friendships on the series. “I think it’s hard when you only have two [main] female characters on the show,” Patton said (via Comicbook.com).

Although Patton told Comic Book Resources in the same year that “there’s a friendship” between Iris and Linda, and that Iris and Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten) “have the potential to have a very amicable friendship,” both Linda and Patty moved out of Central City before those friendships could develop.

Linda and her Earth-2 metahuman doppelgänger Doctor Light last appeared in Season 2, episode 6, entitled “Enter Zoom.” In the episode, Linda masqueraded as Doctor Light as part of Team Flash’s plan to catch Zoom (Teddy Sears). But after the plan failed, Linda moved to Coast City to protect herself from Zoom and Doctor Light, who escaped from S.T.A.R. Labs.

Although Linda left Central City and Doctor Light went missing, Jow told Screener in 2015 that there are more stories to be told about her characters, so it’s likely that fans haven’t seen the last of them yet. “I feel like there is a lot of potential with Linda and Doctor Light, so we’ll see where the writers take the storyline,” the actress said at the time.

At the Spotted Pig, the New York gastropub as celebrated for its famous patrons as for its char-grilled burger, the arrival of an actress best known for her work on the CW series The Vampire Diaries normally wouldn’t cause much of a stir. But when Nina Dobrev makes her entrance on a lovely evening in June, heads do turn—and not just because she is channeling Jackie Kennedy in an oversize pink coat by L.K. Bennett and Dior sunglasses. Dobrev’s canine companion, Maverick, an adorable and impeccably well-behaved border collie–Australian shepherd mix, is garnering her own fair share of attention.

“I call her the world’s chillest dog,” Dobrev says as she settles into a corner booth with the puppy, who’s named, of course, after Tom Cruise’s character in Top Gun. She adopted Maverick from a shelter a few months back while still grieving the death of her beloved cat, Lynx (immortalized in many an Instagram post). “She rescued me as much as I rescued her,” adds Dobrev. “I was so lost after Lynx passed, but Maverick brought me back to life.”

“The things I want to do now aren’t necessarily the things that are expected of me. I don’t want to play a teenager anymore.”

Ian is op 25 juli vader geworden van dochter Bodhi Soleil met vrouw Nikki Reed. Het stel heeft voorgenomen om na de geboorte een maand rust te nemen en te genieten van hun eerste kind.

It’s a girl for Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder!

The actors welcomed daughter Bodhi Soleil Reed Somerhalder at 10:26 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, PEOPLE confirms via the birth certificate.

Bodhi is the first child for the couple, who wed in April 2015 after first being spotted together the previous July and getting engaged that January.

Somerhalder and Reed announced their bundle of joy on the way in May with sweet matching Instagram posts, featuring a serene snap of The Vampire Diaries alum kissing his wife’s growing belly.

“Hi Little One. I know you, but only because I feel you. How is it possible to love someone so much already?” the Twilight star, 29, captioned her post.

“All I know for sure is it’s the strongest feeling I’ve ever felt. We’ve been sharing this body for quite some time, and we’ve already experienced so much together,” she added. “We can’t wait to meet you… Love, your parents.”

Reed recently covered Fit Pregnancy and Baby, dishing to the magazine about how she and Somerhalder, 38, have been preparing for parenthood — and the “one month of silence” they would take after their first child’s birth.

“We’ll take the baby’s first month for ourselves,” she said, posing for a stunning maternity shoot. “Just the three of us, no visitors, and we’re turning off our phones too, so there’s no expectation for us to communicate … You don’t get those first 30 days back, and we want to be fully present.”

As far as keeping their baby’s sex (“the greatest and only true surprise of your life”) a secret until delivery, Reed assured she’d be excited either way. “A close friend had a son and I remember thinking, ‘I hope I have a son one day.’ Then another friend had a girl and I thought, ‘How fun would it be to have a miniature version of yourself?’ ” she said. “You can’t lose, no matter what.”

Somerhalder opened up to PEOPLE recently about how caring for cats has helped prepare him for fatherhood. “I’ve learned to smile through cleaning endless amounts of poop and pee,” he said.

“To get up in the middle of the night to bottle feed eight kittens that would die without you, it gives you a sense of what it’s like to care for something that depends on you for its survival,” added the actor of his duties as a cat dad. “It’s a very special thing. It’s a great beginner’s course.”
