Daniel Gillies en vrouw Rachel Leigh Cook hebben in een verklaring laten weten in verwachting te zijn van hun twee kind. In 2013 verwelkomde het stel al een dochter Charlotte Easton Gillies.

Rachael Leigh Cook and Daniel Gillies tell E! News exclusively that they are pregnant with their second child!
“We’re as happy as we were surprised by this wonderful news! We haven’t slept since 2013 and welcome advice from all parents who survived Two Under Two,” they tell E! News.

The couple already has one daughter, Charlotte Easton Gillies, who was born in 2013. Shortly after his wife delivered Charlotte, Rachael’s husband tweeted, “it’s a girl. the tiny new empress of my everything. she’s immaculate. we’re delirious.”

She and her hubby tied the knot in 2004.

Gillies plays Elijah Mikaelson on CW’s The Originals while Rachael, who got her big break in She’s All That, plays Kate Moretti on TNT’s Perception, with new episodes of her show airing in February.

What is the potential for another crossover between The Originals and The Vampire Diaries?
It’s an interesting question, because we’ve done two so far. With Tyler coming over seeking revenge and we did one with Tatia, which was Nina [Dobrev] coming. There’s a lot of people wanting to see Caroline crossing over to New Orleans to visit Klaus, because of that sort of unresolved romance that happened back in Vampire Diaries.

I’m sure they will use another crossover because why wouldn’t they? It’s a wonderful opportunity. It might be nice to see another character that I don’t have a history with. I like Michael Malarkey, who plays Enzo on Vampire Diaries. I’d love him to cross over just ’cause I’d get to spend more time with him then, he’s a good bloke.

What can we expect with the dynamic between Elijah and Hayley, with the baby in play?
It’s going to be more and more difficult, although there’s definitely some feelings between them, as we saw in the episode that aired just before Christmas. They still definitely have feelings for each other, but she’s now betrothed to Jackson. She’s gonna marry for the good of her pack so that they could absorb these powers that she has and have a strong line of defense for her daughter, for our daughter. It’s going to be a forbidden love between them. That’s the most interesting kind, isn’t it?

Do you think we’ll get to expect Claire Holt‘s character, Rebekah, back?
I hope so, because I really am fond of Claire. I’d love it if we do. I should imagine so. I spoke to her very recently. I know she is up for coming back, and we’re up for having her!

Volgens de laatste berichten zijn Ian en Nikki Reed na een relatie van 6 maanden verloofd. Het stel heeft zelf niet niet laten weten weten, maar volgens bronn zou het stel de stap genomen omdat het juist aanvoelde. Ook zou Ian benoemd hebben al jaren verliefd te zijn op haar, nog voordat hun vriendschap uitbloeide naar meer…….

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are bride and groom to-be!

The 36-year-old Vampire Diaries star and the 26-year-old Twilight star are engaged, multiple sources confirm exclusively to E! News. The exciting engagement comes about six months after they first started dating.
The engagement isn’t a surprise to insiders close to the couple. One source says that Somerhalder told Reed he had “been in love with [her] for years,” long before they took their friendship to the next level. “They’re so happy,” the source tells E! News. “They were crazy happy from the start. Their families love each other. It just feels really right.”

Reed and Somerhalder first sparked romance rumors when they were spotted getting their PDA on in July at an L.A. farmers market.

Since hooking up, the lovebirds have adopted several animals together. In August, they proved they were getting serious by adopting a horse named Eagle. “Proud new dad… What amazing creatures they are. Wow. His name is Eagle. Thank you @iamnikkireed for snapping this special moment, with our big baby boy,” Somerhalder wrote on Instagram at the time with a photo of their new family member.

Two months later, the duo adopted a precious kitten. Reed announced the adoption on Instagram, writing, “Went to the animal shelter today to give some love to the babies living in cages and don’t have homes and ended up adopting the little girl! What should we name her?”

They also recently started their own production company together. “Nikki and I are starting a production company and we’re going to be able to tell even more stories that we really want to tell, everything from documentaries to TV shows to movies…all kinds of stuff,” Somerhalder told E! News just this week. “Having the success of a television show like [Vampire Diaries] really allows you to be able…now I get to start spreading my creative wings as well.”

“It’s going to be awesome,” the hunky star added of their joint project. “Listen, it’s about telling stories and it’s about creating the content to tell those stories and whose going to distribute that content.”
Reed was previously married to American Idol’s Paul McDonald. They separated in March 2014 after two years of marriage. As for Somerhalder, he famously dated his TV co-star Nina Dobrev for several years before they broke up in mid-2013.

The Vampire Diaries has found its (real) Sarah Salvatore.

Tristin Mays has landed the recurring role of Sarah on The CW’s recently renewed vampire drama, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The real Sarah — The Vampire Diaries introduced a faux Sarah earlier in the season, who was an old friend of Sarah’s — is described as a bright and gifted student of photography, whose life is turned upside down as she unravels the mystery of her true family history.

The character is the daughter of Zach Salvatore (Chris William Martin), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan’s (Paul Wesley) distant nephew.

Mays will make her debut on The CW series during the Jan. 22 episode. She currently can be seen in the Kevin Hart/Josh Gad comedy The Wedding Ringer, which bows Jan. 16.

She is represented by Gersh and Koopman Management.
