The CW heeft Matt Davis nieuwe serie ‘Cult’ van de buis gehaalt na tegenvallende kijkcijfers. De zender had hoge verwachtingen van de serie die helaas niet waar gemaakt konden worden. Nog niet alle afleveringen van het eerste seizoen zijn uitgezonden en The CW zou ook geen plannen hebben om deze uit te zenden.

The CW has cancelled its high-concept freshman series Cult. After a disappointing premiere on Tuesday, February 19, the network moved the show to the difficult-to-generate-a-youth-audience Friday time-slot.

Created by Gossip Girl executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, Cult starred The Vampire Diaries’ Matt Davis and Melrose Place’s Jessica Lucas. The series had a meta concept that failed to connect with an audience. The idea was that there was a CW show, titled Cult, which was either inspiring, or responsible for, a real-world Cult.The network has elected to air repeats of The Carrie Diaries and the reality series Oh Sit! in lieu of Cult.

Het plot voor de aflevering 4×21 She’s Come Undone is verschenen!

LET’S MAKE A DEAL — Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) try a brutal new approach to provoke Elena (Nina Dobrev) into turning her humanity back on, and Caroline (Candice Accola) is frustrated when her attempt to intervene backfires.
