KLAUS RETURNS TO HIS PAST IN NEW ORLEANS — Acting on a mysterious tip that a plot is brewing against him in New Orleans, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) makes a trip to the town he and his family helped build. Klaus’ questions lead him to a reunion with his former protégé, Marcel (guest star Charles Michael Davis), a charismatic vampire who has total control over the human and supernatural inhabitants of New Orleans. Determined to help his brother find redemption, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) follows Klaus and soon learns that Hayley (guest star Phoebe Tonkin) has also come to the French Quarter searching for clues to her family history, and has fallen into the hands of a powerful witch named Sophie (guest star Daniella Pineda). Meanwhile, in Mystic Falls, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) continue with their plan for Elena (Nina Dobrev), while Katherine (Nina Dobrev) reveals a surprising vulnerability to Rebekah (Claire Holt) and asks her to deliver a message.

PROM NIGHT IN MYSTIC FALLS — After making a decision that infuriates Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) proposes a life-changing challenge for Rebekah (Claire Holt). Caroline (Caroline Accola [sic]) finds that her carefully laid plans for the perfect Senior Prom night are disrupted by Elena (Nina Dobrev), so she turns to an amused Klaus for a solution. Determined to get through to Elena, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) both attend the prom, but the evening begins to spiral out of control despite their efforts. When Elena suddenly lashes out in a way no one could have predicted, Matt (Zach Roerig) turns to Rebekah for help. Finally, Bonnie (Kat Graham) makes a terrifying discovery, and Klaus receives a message that could change everything.

Het is bekend geworden dat de boekenserie ‘The Stefan Diaries’ vertaald zullen worden. De eerste twee delen zullen als onubus worden uitgegeven onder de naam Stefans dagboek: Oorsprong & Bloeddorst. Het boek zal 25 september 2013 te koop zijn en rond de €18,95 kosten.

Deel 1 – Oorsprong:
Stefan en Damon Salvatore zijn onafscheidelijk, tot ze Katherine ontmoeten, een mysterieuze schoonheid die hun wereld op zijn kop zet. Stefan en Damons hechte band verandert in dodelijke rivaliteit als zij naar Katherines gunsten dingen. Maar Katherine heeft een geheim: ze is een vampier en heeft zich voorgenomen de broers ook in vampiers te veranderen, zodat ze tot in de eeuwigheid samen kunnen zijn…

Deel 2 – Bloeddorst:
Stefan Salvatores grote liefde heeft hem veranderd in een vampier… en ze verwoestte zijn ziel. Nu dreigen hij en zijn broer Damon ontdekt en vermoord te worden. Ze vluchten naar New Orleans, maar daar worden ze voor nog grotere gevaren gesteld: de stad wemelt van de vampiers… en vampierjagers. Zal Stefans onsterfelijke ziel voor eeuwig verdoemd blijken te zijn…?
