Triest nieuws voor Rachael Leigh Cook en haar echtgenoot Daniel Gillies. Het stel heeft besloten om na 14 jaar een punt achter een huwelijk te zetten. De 39-jarige actrice en de 43-jarige acteur maakten dit zelf bekend via sociale media.

We kijken ernaar uit om het goede uit onze relatie voort te zetten in de komende jaren,” aldus Rachael.

“In het belang van onze kinderen vragen we om jullie discretie in deze periode van transitie. Veel dank aan degenen die hier al van op de hoogte waren; jullie compassie en begrip is geweldig. Veel liefs, Rachael en Daniel.”

Het stel trouwde op 8 augustus 2004 en kreeg samen twee kinderen: dochter Charlotte (5) en zoon Theodore (4).

Paul zal toch te zien zijn in het tweede seizoen van ‘Tell Me A Story’, alleen ditmaal in een andere rol. Het eerste seizoen van de serie zal vanaf 11 juli te zien zijn op de streamingsdienst Videoland.

Paul Wesley, who co-starred in the first season of Tell Me a Story, will be back as a star in the upcoming second season of CBS All Access’ anthology series. Wesley will play a new character in the drama, from creator Kevin Williamson and Aaron Kapaln’s Kapital Entertainment.

Tell Me a Story, based on a Spanish format, takes the world’s most beloved fairy tales and reimagines them as a dark and twisted psychological thriller. We can reveal that Season 2 will feature the tales of three iconic princesses – Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. (Season 1 weaved together dark stories based on The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, and Hansel and Gretel.)

Wesley will play Tucker. A struggling novelist, Tucker spends his sleepless nights toiling away in a secluded cabin in the woods and his days trying to prove he’s good enough for his beautiful fiancée. But it’s all about to come crashing down as a dark secret threatens to destroy his world.

The casting further expands Wesley’s relationship with Kapital Entertainment which started when The Vampire Diaries alum was tapped for a role in Tell Me a Story’s first season. It led to Wesley and his company Citizen Media entering a production partnership with Kapital, which has multiple shows in the works, including a drama based on Jason Smith’s non-fiction article Confessions Of a Drug-Addicted High School Teacher, with Wesley attached to star and David Slade (Black Mirror) to direct, and supernatural crime drama Possessed, based on a Korean format.

Wesley starred on The Vampire Diaries for eight seasons, directed multiple episodes throughout the series’ run, and served as a producer for its final season. Behind the camera, last year he directed episodes of Roswell, New Mexico and Legacies. Additionally, he had a co-starring role in Netflix’s docu-drama Medal Of Honor, produced by Robert Zemeckis, and starred in two off-Broadway theater productions in 2018.

Tell Me a Story is executive produced by Williamson and Kapital’s Kaplan and Dana Honor.

Wesley is repped by ICM Partners, Management 360, and attorney Marcy Morris.

Joseph is gecast in de nieuwe sci-fi serie ”Brave New World’, de serie gebaseerd op een boek uit 1932 zal uitgezonden worden op de Amerikaanse zender USA Network. Het is nog niet bekend wanneer de serie precies zal verschijnen.

Brave New World‘s population continues to rise. USA Network’s forthcoming adaptation of Aldous Huxley’s classic sci-fi novel has added Pitch‘s Kylie Bunbury, The Originals‘ Joseph Morgan and Killjoys‘ Hannah John-Kamen in series-regular roles, Deadline reports.

Also newly cast are Nina Sosanya (Killing Eve) and Sen Mitsuji (Origin). They join previously announced stars Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story), Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey) and Harry Lloyd (Game of Thrones).

Huxley’s novel, first published in 1932 and read by you as a teenager, is set in a futuristic utopian society “that has achieved peace and stability through the prohibition of monogamy, privacy, money, family, and history itself,” according to the official logline. Findlay’s Lenina and Lloyd’s Bernard Marx are New London citizens who “have only ever known a rigid social order, a perfect pharmaceutical called Soma, and a culture of instant gratification and ubiquitous sex.” Together, they set off on a vacation to the Savage Lands, “where they become embroiled in a harrowing and violent rebellion.” They are ultimately rescued by Ehrenreich’s John the Savage, who “escapes with them back to New London” and “threatens to disrupt its utopian harmony.”

Bunbury will play Lenina’s best friend Frannie, a Beta Plus who has learned to embrace New London’s social order, while Morgan has been cast as CJack60, an Epsilon who works a series of physically demanding jobs and bears witness to a terrifying incident. John-Kamen will play self-indulgent artist Wilhelmina “Helm” Watson, while Sosanya and Mitsuji have been cast as Henry Foster and Mustapha Mond.

Kat was vorige week te gast bij Morning Blend op te praten over de nieuwe ‘Foster Grant’ collectie.

Sara is één van de zes deelnemen van het 2019 Screenwriters Lab georganiseerd door het Whistler Film Festival. Van wat ik ervan begrijp zal ze ondersteund worden tijdens het schrijven van een script genaamd ‘A Search For She.’ Voor het project dat enkele maanden zal lopen is ze is geselecteerd uit zo’n 40 deelnemers die zich aangemeld hadden.

WFF Announces Finalists for 2019 Screenwriters Lab

The Whistler Film Festival (WFF) has selected six Canadian screenwriters to participate in the six-month, multi-phased 2019 Screenwriters Lab. Chosen from a pool of over 40 applicants, the finalists will participate in a competitive program focusing on advancing feature-length projects from the script stage into production by facilitating mentorship and feedback from industry experts across the business spectrum. Phase I runs from June 23 to 28, followed by four months of mentorship, while Phase II runs from December 4 to 8 during the Whistler Film Festival + Summit.

WFF’s Screenwriters Lab is a feature script development program that brings together independent screenwriters from across the country to work intensively with key film industry personnel. The participants will work in private, group and market-oriented sessions to develop both creative skills and business opportunities for their projects. Designed to analyze the writer’s intentions, the program challenges participants to rethink script-to-screen strategies and chart a course for eventual production.

The six screenwriters and projects selected for the 2019 WFF Screenwriters Lab include:

Danielle’s film ‘Ghost Light’ vindt distributeur in Noord-Amerika, hierdoor zal de film 18 juni verschijnen op DVD in Amerika en Video On Demand.

Director John Stimpson’s indie about a ‘Macbeth’ theater production gone off the rails is due for a June 18 release.
Giant Pictures has picked up North American rights to Ghost Light, a supernatural comedy about a theater production of Macbeth that unleashes a Shakespearean curse.

Directed by John Stimpson under his H9 production banner, the film stars Cary Elwes, Tom Riley, Roger Bart, Carol Kane, Shannyn Sossamon and Danielle Campbell. Stimpson wrote and produced Ghost Light with Geoffrey Taylor.

The dark comedy centers on a disgruntled actor who disregards the superstition surrounding Shakespeare’s Macbeth and unwittingly unleashes the play’s legendary curse on the troupe with tragic consequences. Elwes plays an inept former soap star with deep pockets in a theater troupe, while Riley portrays a disgraced former New York theater star and Bart plays the director.

Giant will release the film June 18 on all digital platforms, plus DVD nationwide.

“Delivering fun and scares in equal measure, Ghost Light introduces the myth of the ‘Scottish Play’ to a whole new generation,” Giant Pictures’ Sarah Dawson said in a statement.

CAA handled the North American sale, while Shoreline Entertainment is representing foreign sales on Ghost Light.
